I want tattoos on my ankles, but my boyfriend doens't like the sound of that. He thinks tattoos on ankels are ghetto, what do you think? I want a teddy bear holding a heart on my left ankel and a heart with a rose in it on my right ankel. Does that sound ghetto? Me personaly I don't think it's ghetto at all.

It's a matter of opinion. Get the tattoos you want. Get them where you want, and exactly how you want. It is your body, your decision, and you have to carry it aorund the rest of your life. You cannot please everyone, nor should you try. Do what you want to do, and what makes you happy. That is what the art of tattooing is about. tattoos are all about you. I might wait if you are not sure yourself, and have to ask other people's thoughts and opinions.

Do what you need to do, doll. Just do it for the right reasons.

i don't think the place where you put your tatttoo is "Ghetto" It's more of what you put on would make it kinda ghetto! I'm not sure because I try to be true to myself when gettin a tatoo in a certain place! I've seen so many Black girls in New York city(where I live) with the same type of tattoo! Like the teddy bear and roses with hearts with their own names on themselves! i take tattoos to be something more of art and self expression! I have soem stars and butterflies but i'm goin to get some African symbols that have meaning done on my wrist! I look at what people do and I Like to be Original with the work that will be on me! Make it mean something to you! Make it worth it!

Who cares what different folks consider, in the event you wish a tattoo to your ankle then you definately get one to your ankle. There are not any "feminine" spots or "male" spots for tattoos. There is most effective locations wherein females get extra mostly then guys, and vice-versa. Hope this helped. Good Luck!

Well, what do you mean by "ghetto" first of all. Do what you like to do, but if your boyfriend doesn't like it, I suggest you not do it. However, if you are really determined to get a tatoo, remember it's permanent. What if in the future you don't like it anymore? What happens if in the future you think it's too girly or childish? Think about it before you make an action because if you want to remove a tattoo, it will get permanently scarred. Good luck and have fun. Also, you can think about the cost of getting a tatoo and the pain. Are you getting a tattoo because everyone else is getting it? Or do you want to get that tatoo to look different? No one can stop you though, but do what you feel like is best for you!

I've had a tattoo on my right ankle of a black panther crawling up with the claws, and drops of blood for around 22 years. I'm not ghetto, never have been, never will. I'm white middle class. No, I'm not a black panther either!!! I had tats long before they were fashionable and I don't care what people think or feel. It's my body and I did it and so what. It didn't cheapen me. No one could see them anyway, unless I let them......Tell your boyfriend he's archaic.

I define "ghetto" as displaying a cheap knock off of something real and expensive like plastic spinner hub caps from Pep Boys, or spending money on something showy and expensive while other more important things are neglected, like buying real spinners while your family of 9 kids by three wives all live in poverty? I think in this case your boyfriend is defining "ghetto" as wasteful, superficial, and overly pre-teen girlie, sometimes called "twee." It certainly isn't professional, if that's your goal in life, which it should be, as the only happiness lies in pursuing success in something you're passionate about.

yes it's ghetto but i suppose it depends on your ambitions. how old are you? do you plan on being a professional one day? how will you look in a skirt and heels in an office to your staff with a teddy bear holding a heart around your ankle? now that's ghetto!

Hmmm I have a small tattoo on my ankle and get many compliments. I think it depends what you get, the artist who does it and the results. Who cares what others think if that's what YOU want. It's not like you are going out hurting anyone.

I know alot of women who have ankle tattoos and come from
middle class and up homes and have college degrees and have
careers in the medical field, in the judicial field and in the
professions that are up there. They sound like cool tattoos and
not trashy. To each his own. Possibly your boyfriend does not
want you to get any tattoo .
