If your talking about the old testamant God, then you hit the nail on the head. Some versions of Adam and Eve show the True God stripping the Creator God of his power after he sinned against humanity by denying them Immortality and casting them out of Paradise. As a result He roams the Earth with us as a demon who strikes deals called 'Covenants' with those who believe him when he says he is God. It's still just a myth of course.

Not really. For you or I to be able to test God's Powers....we would have to know His plan intimately...and we don't know it at all.

God has a plan for each of us....and faith in Him is all we need to get to the next level. Testing God....is denying faith. Game over.

Way too convenient. (almost)

It's similar to the "do not test this nuclear bomb" logic. If you test it, you die. I've met Christian who fear being near me when I openly challenge God (or Jesus) to a cup of coffee at the corner diner.

I know of one verse that says you should test Him.

It is about tithing :-P

However, David prayed to God to test his heart, So..... IF you want to test God, Maybe give Him a heartfelt prayer to test YOU.
