To get somewhere quicker thn travelling by land. At least there's no traffic jams and rush hours thousands of feet up in the sky

People travel by air because they suffer from the delusion that they are giant, featherless birds. Air travel gives these poor, misguided souls a feeling that they are achieving "oneness" with their smaller avian brothers.
