Do germans use the same VHS players as us americans or are they like DVD players?

I want to send a VHS tape to someone in germany and I know that they use different DVD coding over there, how about VHS?

they use PAL television standard rather than the NTSC used here.

Americans use ntsc vhs also called T cassettes whiles they use pal or E cassettes.also for DVDs,they us region 2 whiles we use region 1 in th US.

They are exactly the same but the plug in which you plug into the wall is different.
