You have yet to "prove" the Bible and it's message is false.
And i as a believer will not honor your request untill you and your fellow atheists stop posting in the religion and spirituality area.

If you truly don't believe then why do you come here over and over?

Hm, I dont know why some people get irrate when an atheist proves something , though I dont know if I have ever seen one prove anything really....... I think both sides are operating out of a deep desire to understand their own reality, I also happen to think members of both sides are equally deslusional.

What I mean by "understand their own reality" is.

They both adhere vehemently to presupposed beliefs such as, the belief in "scientific fact" ( and yes it takes some amount of belief to call a "fact" truth. ) Or the belief in a "spiritual truth" ( which in MOST people does have some semblance of reason. )

They act this way to "stabilize" their universe. It is a method for keeping ego afloat.

Even most precious science has changed and evolved thru the centuries, What makes you think the theories of today will be the theories of tomorrow? Show me your truth and I will show you someone easily swayed by popular opinion :-)

Which kinda goes into another similarity between believers and doubters, "everyone else says it is true, so it must be" ;-) How much do any of us KNOW personally? Isnt most of our so called "knowledge" second hand information?

I am supposedly a believer, I believe in Jesus, but I also understand this is just MY belief. I couldnt even care to try to say it is a "fact" or "truth"

So in that sense , I am an "un-believer" :-)

Believers of what? I'm neither an athiest nor a Christian, however, I feel invited to respond.

The issue with the thumbs down isn't a validation of falsehood, like the grade one receives on an exam. Rather, it's a tally of popularity: thumbs down = unpopular and thumbs up = popular.

Consider this: When Christ was beaten beyond recognition, then crucified, He received more thumbs down than any one atheist posting in Yahoo Answers.

Christ did say the least shall be exalted. Christ never said the least Jew or the least Christian: simply "the least."

Hmm.... I am a theist. But I see what you are saying.
Yes, atheists do get thumbs down, but not because they are "proving truth" but because (this is why I give thumbs down) they prove truth without using all the other stuff that can be taken into account. For example, if someone tries to prove that energy has always been around, how can they? I had this as one of my questions, and as the reason, they put, "Well, isn't that what you believe about God?" Yes, this may be correct, but how do we know that the universe before we know it wasn't frozen at 0 degrees Kelvin? All matter and energy stops at this temperature and below it. But God can live through it, because He can do ANYTHING.
This is the sole reason we believe; God is the only way that everything is the way it is. Science can contridict itself, but God can't.

Generally I take the thumbs down and the thumbs up as pretty much the same thing. Both mean that someone read my two cents , and thought about it long enough to warrant moving the mouse a couple of millimeters. It is not much, but this is Y/A

Hmmmm George W. Bush got a lot of thumbs down yet he won the election.

Remember the saying, " If a thousand people believe in a stupid thing, it's still a stupid thing." You don't get the truth just because of Yahoo rating procedures. If you get a lot of thumbs up in this charade, all you get is a silly grin in your face...So have a life.

Atheists aren't the only ones who get thumbs-down whenever they use logic - and logic isn't exclusive to atheists, either.

What about all of us spirituals who have managed a compatible relationship between scientific fact and theoretical faith?

It's the religious extremists - not the religious.

Absolutely! We both nail each other back and forth all the time. I do it to them as much as they do it to me.

I'm an agnostic.

Good question! (and YES, the thumbs down are considered a mark of distinction!).

Yes- I have noticed that.

It confirms that believers abhor rational thought or discussion, and have a deep emotional reaction to anything that may challenge their beliefs. I would expect that religious people are otherwise intelligent and rational people, and can be doctors, lawyers or even scientists. However- they don't have the ability for rational thought when it comes to religious affairs.

Why do you think that is? Sure- some have been brainwashed as children (go see Jesus Camp), but not all of them.

Faith = the absence of reason.

yes, and I believe that it's because the "believers" get so angry at any opinion that challenges theirs, they have to vote in anger. In reading your words, it seems that you harbor a lot of anger too--that's one thing I've noticed about religious people--they can really only love that which they cannot see and only those who see the same thing they cannot see. And I don't mean to insult you--I just see your anger here and it saddens me just like the Jihad of the Muslims and the Crusades of the Christians. Too many wars, too much hatred of our differences to see what we have in common.
Peace.
