to pass. At this point in the 21st century, how long are christians reinterpreting a generation to be?

Christians never take the time to explain such a basic question. When written, the writers were talking about the people living at that time, of course. If Rangedog is right, there will never come a time when even the people who cannot read get the message, so it will never happen. That is convenient for the believers. They can claim forever that the end is coming.

ONE GENERATION IS LIKE ONE WITNESS AND THE THIRD SHOULD BE CONSIDERED

Rev.9:1-5 [ 5x 30 is 150 ]; the pit is open for Satan, THE SEALED OF GOD ARE THERE,
the sealed are to be down to the last John.6:39,40,44; John 14:3; The sealed are to number in the thousands. DO THEY HAVE 150 YEARS?

Daniel 12:1-10 [ 2520 less 606 BCE is 1914 CE it fits prophecy from evey angel, the only thing no one is concerned about is following 1Thes.4:15-17 is 5:1-9,21 Jesus does not come as a thief in the night to children of the light of times and seasons ];

Rev.12:6-12 and the short time for Satan to Rev.20:1-6,12,13 and the pit is open from Rev.9:1-5 [ 5x 30 is 150 + 1914 = 2064 and there must be another source to make it prophecy that will happen ]; Dan.7:25 [ gives the math ]; Dan.8:12-14 gives the math.

Many places give 2520 to end seventh world Empire, and Satan no longer in heaven, as world goes into the 8th [ 2520 ends #7, does 150 as 2670 end the 8th ]?
Also, how far is Daniel from Eden to keep Day 7 years in mind.
Dan.12:1-10 [ 2520 ], 12:11 [ 2x 1290 = ] 2580. 12:12 [ 2x 1335 = 2670 ]. SECOND TIME AND IT IS THE SAME AS THE FIRST TIME AND DANIEL AND JOHN AGREE.

ALSO:
THE MOST VITAL THING FOR THE END TIMES AND GOD WILL PROVIDE

KJV Bible 1611 Published add 303 years is 1914 CE and excepted translation.
ALSO:
Dan.8:12-14 [ 2300 Less 606 BCE 1694 world has truth plus 300 years to 1994 ];
BIBLE REPEATS

Rev.11:1-3; 12:6,14; 13:5 [ 1260 + 1260 years is 2520 + 1260 days WW1, or 42 months WW1 or 3 1/2 years WW1 Rev.13:1-10 is WW1, 11-18 is WW2 ];

2520 add 150 as 2670 and we are at 2612 agter Babylon Matt.24:3,7,14,15,22,34,36-38 [ Only God knows day and hour but 1Thes.5:1-9,21 and this is after Holy Spirit to
anoint as Acts 1:7,8 is before 2:1-4 ]; and we are 2006 after Christ. so it is time fact are paid attention to as Rev.9:1-5 to 12:16 angels prepare 391, so does Ezekiel 4:5,6; and Rev.16:12-16 and all this conflict involves the Euphrates and the world, we see
the scene set for the days of the end times and again the word to world applies.

KJV Bible 1611 Published + 391 years is 2002 for the word, what is going on?

Add Eden to Daniel time to 2670 to Rev.20:1-6 and how much time does it cover?

Mark says it at the outset of his gospel (1:1). The angel told Mary her child would be the Son of God (Luke 1:35). The centurion said so (Matthew 27:54). The demons called Jesus the Son of God (Matthew 8:29; Luke 4:41; Mark 3:11). The charge against Jesus was that He claimed to be the Son of God (Matthew 27:43; John 19:7), a claim He never denied, and virtually admitted (Luke 22:70). Why, you might ask, does Jesus not say so plainly. I think the answer is found in Matthew 16:15-17: 15 He said to them, “And who do you say that I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 And Jesus answered him, “You are blessed, Simon son of Jonah, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but my Father in heaven!” (Matthew 16:15-17). Jesus did not want Peter and His disciples to believe He was the Son of God just because He said so. He wanted God to bring them to this conclusion, based upon the overwhelming evidence of Scripture and our Lord’s life and teaching. MIMI

Though it appears that you are yet another scoffer, I will attempt to answer your question.

The word 'this' refers to the generation that sees all those signs occurring which Jesus had just described. It does not refer to his generation, or to a generation that started in his time. It is the generation that sees the beginning of these signs of the end that Jesus listed earlier in the chapter.

Also, it is not clear from the Bible what the length of a generation is. Many consider it to be about 40 years.

He said that this generation would not pass until all these things are fufilled.: that the generation would start when Israel became a nation again, which happened in 1948 I believe and a generation is considered to be approx. 70 years. You can check this out by doing a web search on Bible Prophecy, you should also be able to find out if there are any prophecies left to be fulfilled in this generation before Christ returns, to my knowledge there is only one, and that one is debatable and it has to do with Damascus being destroyed, which has never happened before in history. I'm not sure where the verse is, but I think it is in Jeremiah.

It refers to the generation of believers/followers of Christ.

Jesus spoke in symbolism and parable. A person needs to be educated in the inside meanings to completely understand the meaning. In the bible there are 7 generations spoken of each Generation is marked by a Covenant between humankind and God. The Generations are:

The creation/pre-flood generation, the post flood generation. The Abraham generation, the Jacobean/Israelite generation, the Mosaic Generation, the Christian/followers of Jesus generation and the Apocalyptic generation.

This is where the English Bible fails. Int he Greek there is a tense used that indicates a proviso: the statement would be true IF (and they didn't) they would accept Him as Saviour first, and then as their King. Well, you know what happened: they wanted Him as King NOW to get out from under the Roman boot (hence Palm Sunday which should be celebrated as a day of stupidity) so the Romans, after 6 trials, had no choice but to accede to those murderous idiots and crucify Him, my Lord, my God.

It's not a generation of time, but a generation of events.

In other words, as bad as the world is and is getting, it's not going to end until the preaching of the Good News of the Kingdom has been worldwide at least once.

To specifically answer your question, Christians can't really agree on when this will come to fruition. Several believe it already has...

Reinterpreting will go on and on...

Jesus doesnt claim when it will happen. The Bible says that even the angels do not know the hour. keep on reading beyond the Matthew, Mark and Luke instead of bashing christians.

God Bless You
