I don't thnk they will. How has the Republician leadership improved the VA and benefits for vets in the last six years? Being I work in the field I would rest easy. the GOP did a lot more damage to Vet packages than dems.

The government already is...this year will be the lowest pay increase for military in quite sometime. The pay will only be increased 2% and they are considering cutting many of the extra pay the military already gets now. The budget for our military bases is almost non-existent right now. I don't think they can take away much more than they already have.

Soldiers receive very little compensation for what they do. It is really rather a sad testament as to how valued our service members are.

You would be hard pressed to find a time that Dem's voted to cut military pay or benefits. They will however put the brakes on spending on every toy the pentagon wants and start forcing more cost cutting on projects. They might cancel some projects altogether to put more money in the immediate needs of the army in the field such as maintenance and replacement vehicles.

They won't cut the current basic pay, but they will definitely cut the pay increase rate. Funding will be cut too. They've been doing that since before Carter. I know - I've been a military wife for part or all of every presidential administration starting with Carter.

I remember serving in Central America during the early 80's with a Democrat controlled Congress. I know what the troops are in for - and I am so glad I retired a couple of months ago.

Maybe things will turn out okay - we did succeed in Central America despite everything the Democrats tried.

Who's to say? They were wanting to cut hazardous duty pay back to $100. Can you believe that! A lousy $100 a month to be shot at! Right now it is $250, not that its a lot more, but every bit helps!

They always do. At least we have had some decent raises through the past years thanks to Bush. But if you look back statistically, the Democrats reduce military pay and funding.

I would bet on it and win. The pay was good until now the pay raises are going to stop. Just wait and see.

yes that was part of the master plan from old bill. The only man in history to single handedly destroy our military. I can remember my brother having to wait for 6 weeks to be paid when he was in. That's how you save money you give up our freedom and safety The soldier is who we owe the most god bless them all!
