Would that be a good GIRL name 4 a golden pup?? Koda 4 short??? do u like it? any other suggestions??

One person that bought a gorgeious puppy from me, named her Dakota Dancer....lovely name..has pizzazz

Yeah, Dakota can be a girl puppy name. But I think 3 syllables may be too long. Why not just Koda, as you suggested.

But I don't like it, sorry... Suggestions: Aubrey or Pepper.

My yellow lab is Maui and my black lab is Chelsea (both girls of course) :)

Dakota could be a girl or a boy. My daughter's dog's name is chino and zero. How about Goldie? Koda is cute. Try that.

Dakota is a cute girl's name. There is the little actress whose name is Dakota Fanning so you can see it is a girl's name. Actually I think it would be a good name for a boy or a girl.

Anyway, it is cute for a puppy!

Dakota is a nice name, but not for a golden retriever. Maybe Blondie, Tilly, Chantilly, Dolly, or missy. If you dont like them, Dakota is cute!

I love it! Names that end in A are typically a girl's name, not a boy's name. I think it is perfect.

I like it. My friends dog is named Dakota. It is unisex. I think it would very nice. You could name it after Dakota Fanning if you like her.
