If you are baking it, then Butterball is your best bet. If it is going to be deep fried, then you want a fresh turkey that has not had butter or anything else added to it. Before frying a turkey you usually inject it with seasonings so the less that has already been added the better.

I like butter ball, but I think it mostly depends on how you cook them. My sister and her hubby owned a grocery store and one year she was so busy she forgot to pick out a turkey. The only ones left were the off brand cheaper ones....guess what..it was the best turkey I think she ever made.

a fresh, farm raised (organic) turkey has been the best! I've had all the 'brands', but the fresh ones seem to be the yummiest!

Jennie-O is definitely the best.
They have one that's completely dressed, all you have to do is pop it in the oven and the taste is unbelievably great!
