That God is holy does not mean that he is smug, haughty, or disdainful of others. On the contrary, he hates such qualities. (Proverbs 16:5) So, what does the word “holy” really mean? In Biblical Hebrew, the word is derived from a term meaning “separate.” In worship, “holy” applies to that which is separated from common use, or held sacred. Holiness also strongly conveys the idea of cleanness and purity.

The word “holy” has been defined as being “1. associated with a divine power; sacred. 2. Regarded with or worthy of worship or veneration, 3. Living according to a strict or highly moral religious or spiritual system, 4. Specified or set apart for a religious purpose.” In the Biblical context, holiness means “religious cleanness or purity; sacredness.” According to the Bible reference work Insight on the Scriptures, “the original Hebrew [word] qo′dhesh conveys the thought of separateness, exclusiveness, or sanctification to God, . . . a state of being set aside to the service of God.”

Holyness is being perfect before God.

Impossible appart from Christ- because we are all sinners

You cannot be holy and a lost sinner.

If you accept Christ and repent of the sin that you know you have done.

Christ covers your sin because He died for your sin.

Holyness Living, is living a self controlled life in Christ.

God is Holy

Christ died for us without sin- He is Holy

He makes us Holy and forgives us, so that we may be Holy before God. God cannot dwell with sin, He hates sin. We are sinners. He loves us. He sent Jesus to die for our sins. He fogives us our sins, If we accept Jesus( The gift of Salvation Himself) He makes us Holy before God by taking our sins away.

Thereby providing the only way to God. Christ Himself.

Thank Christ for His mercy, apart from Him I have no hope.

Without sin. Total righteousness. The bible says there is none that are righteous, not even one. As long as we live on this earth, in the present condition, none will achieve holiness but we should do our best to try to live daily without sin.
