Ok I am having a problem. Want to speak to others that maybe have had the same. Ok I am known for having constipation on and off ever since I was little, but just in this past week I have been feeling bloated and feel like going to the bathroom but when I go its really hard to move the stool and I only put out a little bit. The problem is that the stool is not really hard like pellets or anything. Its seems it be normal just hard to put out. Also it comes out flat somethimes and sometimes it comes out round but shinny..I have had flat stool before sometimes then it goes back to normal and then back to flat sometimes...Sometime the first stool out is round and the rest after that is flat...It just varies from time to time..But this week I have been having dificulty going...anyone have a related problem? Also I probably don't drink as much water as I should but its never really affected me before...

Constipation?
You may want to urgently get more fiber in your diet, eating spelt flour pancakes often, cut them into noodles for soups, fill them with jam or vegetables, fruit or left overs. Chew well.

White flour items may make you constipated. Avoid.

More fiber also makes necessary to drink more. Purified water, green tea, herbal teas.

Constipation has been helped often in one session by Color*MedicineTM, Dinshah color Yellow! Also Natrum Sulphuricum, a homeopathic Tissue Salt.

Bloating? Dinshah color Orange and/or Magnesium Phosphoricum (Tissue Salt, health food store).

Vegetables have a lot of fiber, too, so have fruit. Lentils, beans, too, and prunes. Eat some daily.

Less fiber: meat and animal products in general. Reduce or eat with fiber foods only.

You may also want to get some enzymes to help digestion.

Robert Gray composed a colon bacteria food, for the bacteria to help digest our food and make Vitamin B12 for us. You may ask in your health food store, brand something with horizon. Tastes great with Avocados.

Speedy recovery and staying "current."

But you say you've had this problem since you were little, how can you say it never affected you before to not drink much water.

1) Drink lots and lots of water and get used to drinking lots of water.

2) Eat dried prunes with your breakfast, it's a gentle way to get
the stool going.

3) Do this exercise repeatedly, several times a day: sit in a comfortable chair and concentrate on the mouscles of you anus. Tighten, hold on a few seconds, let go. Repeat and repeat when ever you sit.

4) when going to the toilet, don't try to force out the stool. if it doesn't come, it doesn't come.

5) talk to your doctor or ask a nutricionist to get a good diet

6) drink lots and lots of water!

javier, it is time that you make your diet a priority! You are heading for disaster if you don't. Listen to Nana. You have GOT to drink water. In your case it sounds like a little fiber would be a good thing. I drink Sunsweet Plum Juice. It is one hundred percent juice with no added sugar. Stay away from sugar too, that junk will kill you. Go, when you can, and talk to your doctor. You may have a condition that he or she needs to know about. The best advice I can give you is to repeat what I said above, make your health a priority. You are someones child and someone elses hero, whether you know it or not. You owe it to yourself and those that love you or will love you to care about what you put in your body. The things you describe are not normal. Now get on the ball and change your lifestyle! Love and best wishes. Nana

I remember something from nursing school saying that if your stool is flat and ribbon like, you should have a colonoscopy, checking for possible colon cancer. Don't mean to scare you but better safe than sorry. If it is just constipation try drinking more water and eating more foods high in fiber.

A high fiber diet should help you out, or fiber additives that are easily available at any pharmacy that you can add to food or mix with water. Metamucil I belive is a very well known product and should be helpful!

Drinking more water will definitely help with the problem. Also, adding more fiber, either in terms of food or in supplement form, might be advisable.
