You should consider the consequences of telling the truth.........If it is going to hurt someone else and do nothing but ease your guilty conscience.........Think long and hard......If you did the crime you should pay for it and the best way for you to pay may be with living in silence.....Don't hurt someone else just because you have done something stupid.........There is always a kernel of truth in every lie....

Of course you should tell the truth, why not? If you do, then you have a whole lot LESS to remember, cause there will only be...the truth. Sure the truth hurts, but sometimes it needs to be said. And obviously you don't tell everything, like if you're thinking bad about someone, you do not go off and tell them. But if the whole truth is needed, then tell it.

I think it depends on the person and the situation. If it is something that will only hurt others than it might be better to keep it to yourself. If you will only be able to have peace of mind by telling the truth than that is what you should do, rather than living a lie the rest of your life. That is just too stressful.

I don't really know what the circumstances are. If you believe that the truth is quite upsetting, don't tell it to the person it concerns. You may want to discuss the issue with someone else though if your secret is bothernig you very much. Either way it is your decision, you may want to tell it eventually.

Depends on the circumstances
If you know right from wrong and when it’s your business to say anything at all, you have to use intelligence and common sense. If you use anything else besides intelligence and common sense to tell the whole truth and nothing but… your probably doing it for the wrong reasons anyhow.

all truth is relitive to how much the hearers choose to believe it
unless you have supportive evidence ie a source it as best can only be held as oppinion ,you feel true
as this is in the religious section any truth you may reveal unless you lived it will no doudt be questioned and or disputed and hopefully rebuted if incorrect
but till we all can speak our own truths clearly and fearlessly truth with held within is no truth.

Well, truth is always good. If everyone was truthful with one another, there wouldn't be problems in this world. But nowadays, you'll never be able to find a person who's never lied in their entire life.
Don't lie big, that causes misunderstandings and stuff you DON'T want to encounter in your life
Stick with the little white lies...

The whole truth is usually best, so long as you use discretion as to when and where to tell the whole truth.

I firmly believe that the amount of truth you tell is a direct proportion to how much you trust that person.
Do not lie, of course, but if you do not trust someone, do not offer up more information than they need.
"Did you clean your room?" your mother may ask?
A "yes" answer may be true, but if the whole answer is "yes, but then I destroyed it again," you'd best fess up.

Tell as much as you feel necessary. If you are defending someone, tell the whole truth (about the person you are defending), if you are accusing some one, tell the wole truth about them.
