egg nog is good, but its a christmas tradition. it'd be like keeping your christmas tree up all year or lawn ornoments up. the reason we like it so much is because it only comes around once a year, it symbolizes christmas and puts us in the spirit. if it were here all year it would lose all meaning and sales would drop drastically. i like that it only comes once a year because it makes it that much more special.

i've got no longer seen it 3 hundred and sixty 5 days around yet right here's a recipe for it. i've got made this for years and all of us loves it: 2 eggs a million quart finished milk a million can sweetened condensed milk a million tsp vanilla Beat the eggs with a whisk in a great pitcher. Stir in the different factors. Now whip: a million/2 pint heavy whipping cream a million tsp vanilla 2 Tbls sugar Stir this into the milk mixture and suitable with nutmeg. you need to supply it a stir whenever you prefer to pour greater because of the fact the cream rises to the suitable.

Hello Ginnykitty !

I LOVE eggnog ! I can' wait for November to start; that's when most super markets have eggnog..

Martha Stewart has an excellent recipe; it's rich, and sweet, and it smells sooo good; you can get intoxicated just by inhaling it's aroma..I have got to start making my own, I can't always depend on the stores to supply my eggnog fix !!

Eggnog, *sigh* thanks for reminding me, I've got to start stocking up !

Love, light, and peace,
tishy

Yes, if it was sold all year I don't think it would taste as good. It would be like having lobster and steak all the time, plus eggnog has a lot of calories. :)

I know my kids think it should sell year round. They call it "snow milk" and just love it. I know they get a bit fatter this time of year thanks to the old nog so I guess I'm glad it's not available all the time. Oh gosh is it at the stores already, guess I can't take the little boys shopping with me just yet...that stuff is expensive!!

I thought they did. I never bought because I was scared it was just leftover from the year before. But I have seen it for sale in July.

I agree. I was so excited to see it at the grocery the other day. You can make your own at home, but I'm not that ambitious.
