CNG Stands for Compressed Natural Gas.Natural Gas is an organic compound that is found deep within the earth. It is a fossil fuel formed over millions of years of geological pressures and changes. Natural gas is primarily methane comprised of hydrogen and carbon. It is a safe fuel source that is commonly used in homes and businesses for heating, lighting and cooking.
CNG is a substitute for gasoline (petrol) or diesel fuel. It is considered to be an environmentally "clean" alternative to those fuels. It is made by compressing methane (CH4) extracted from natural gas. It is stored and distributed in hard containers, usually cylinders.

CNG= Consolidated Natural Gas, or Compressed Natural Gas...It's simply an alternative to gasoline. It is a "green-fuel" that is economically friendly. It's mostly methane but it is odorless, colorless and non-toxic. Also inflammable.
CNG cannot burn or explode. When Crude Oil is refined it makes much more than CNG. Asphalt, fuels and lubricating oils.

CNG stands for Compressed Natural Gas>
It is procured from crude oil.
When Crude oil is distilled,
the first remanant is CNG. This
gas is either burnt out or stored,
with the help of compressors.
It cannot be stored for long.
It has to be used for supplying
elsewhere, in order to avoid
explosions.
These gases are transported
in tankers or through pipe lines.
Sometimes these gases are used to
generate captive power in refineries
as well.
Comptressed Natural Gases, when
added butane to it, becomes LPG.

It is compressed natural gas.I do not think this is a part of crude oil.I think this comes out from the oil wells, similarly as crude oil.Underground while crude oil is formed it might be a part of the by products.

Compressed natural gas. Just like cooking gas. But not inflammable on low temperatures. Needs high temperatures to get burn. Used in automobiles in countries like India. Much safer then LPG (cooking gas).
