i am doing a science experiment that shows which food has more energy-a walnut or a marshmellow. i need a website that will give me some background information on how food is converted into calories.

A calorie is a unit of energy, it's a way to measure it. Food is converted to energy when it is digested. Then stored as fat if you dont use it. Whichever has more calories marshmellow or walnut, is the one with more energy
