Democrats think the government is one big drill instructor that should order everyone around. There will be even less freedom and more taxes under the democrats. This will most likely either cause a recession or stagflation. So some people wanted less freedom so now we will all suffer.

there is no freedom as such.....a change in scenario yes. With Bush having antagonised so many with his so called big brotherly high handed attitude, saying he was doing so in the interest of promoting democracy, it was inevitable the Americans and many in the world wished to clip his wings and perhaps stop the bragging too. Now that it has happened the teething problems will start and by then his term will be over.

Why do you consider the Democrats recent win a new found freedom?
It takes all of us to make this great country work! No matter one's party affiliation, we are all citizens of the USA!
I pray that the Democrats can help achieve what the last group of people could not. As a Republican, I will support them and do everything in my power to assist them (us).
Time will tell!
God Bless America!

"new found freedom"? What new freedoms have we been granted?
Since this all comes back to Bush, what freedoms did you, personally, lose?
Some poor guy was on here yesterday complaining about having religion forced on him. I felt really sorry for him - it must be scary to have someone breakdown your doors and drag you off to church at gunpoint. /sarc

Pay more at the gas pumps. The Dems have said they will do away with the tax cuts for "Big Oil". Do you think that Big Oil will just eat that cost? No. They will pass the extra cost on to the consumer.

They are going to run around in circles, holding bottles of washing up liquid over their heads and shouting "Weeeeeee"
and why not?
It's a free country
If I was American I would do that all the time.
But here, in the south of England, that sort of thing is frowned upon.

I do not know what it is like to live as citizen of another country, but here, we have soo many laws to follow. So many that people have to research them at the university to know what they are.
But most americans follow a cival law: I'll leave you alone, if you leave me alone and if you mess with me, I'll kick your ***.
