I didn't know that stuff expired.
Maybe it won't be as effective, but I doubt it's dangerous.

Since it "expired" just a few months ago, it is still safe to use and it might have lost a little of its strength, but it will still work. The expiration date on Tylenol doesn't mean that the medicine is actually "bad" (like milk goes bad or something), it is just the date that the maker of the medicine guarantees that the drug is at its full strength and safety level. The expiration date doesn't mean that the Tylenol is harmful or useless after that date. A lot of medicines are still okay to use after that date, especially with something like Tylenol. If it were another medicine that required you to have it at 100% strength I wouldn't take it after that date, but Tylenol is okay. I especially WOULD NOT take more than the recommended dose, even if you think that the medicine has become less potent. That is just dangerous no matter what kind of medicine you are taking. For more info, see this source article that I found on the web:

Probably nothing...Legally they have to put an expiration date on the product......But most likely it will still be effective. I am sure they put a date on way before it would actually be ineffective. It would be too much of a health risk to do it differently. They know people are not paying attention as they should to small details....so I am sure they give lots of room on that expiration date. You are probably safe to use it....but in the future...it is probably best to get new. That is why I only buy small bottles of it...as I take it only rarely.

It might not do you any good - there's a reason for expiration dates, and when they are reached, the medicine should be thrown away. Also, some meds get stronger or have unusual side effects if they are taken after the expiration date - not worth risking it, go buy a new bottle!

A friend who is a nurse told me that most medications have an expiration date that is actually 6 months before the real expiration. Most drugs lose potency over time, but it shouldn't hurt you.

Nothing if you take it now but take it as directed this one time only. Saving it for another time would just be a waste of space, but if I were you, I woujd buy a new bottle for next time because some of the active ingredients will have decayed and will become inactive.

Nothing will happen unless you took to much. It's just not as strong as it would be if it were not expired.

Not to worry, nothing bad will happen. It just may not work as well. So off to the drugstore you go for a new batch. Feel better soon.
