Just like the Christians their are innumerable Belief systems. They have the Vedas as their holy scripltues which where given at the time of creation and written down 5,000 years ago when Lord Krishna spoke the Bhagavad Gita (Song of God) The main understanding is that God has many names and Krishna is the original Name and form of God. Vishnu is His First expansion and He has unlimited expansions though He is one and unlimited. Many Hindus worship the demigods (angels). They put them on the same level as God. This is what the Bible is taking about that "no one should put other gods before me." We should give all angels and residing deities over the universe all respect but not worship them as God. This is most of the Hindus faults. Not all believe that way though. Krishna Consciousness comes from the Vedic scriptures also It comes from a diciplic succession all the way from the appearance of Lord Krishna 5,000 years ago. Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada is our savior or Guru who reestablished the truth of the Vedic literature and Bible and all Scriptures. Krishna says in the Gita "whenever there is a decline in religious principals and the truth appears to be lost I appear again and again or send my representative to reestablish the truth. for more info go to http://www.stephen-knapp.com

>omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient, all pervasive, all imbibisive, ultimate Reality is Brahman-Reality is one and only one-So the propaganda that Hinduism is poly-theism is disinformation. Brahman has no name(Anomika) no form(Aroopam)-No attributes(Nirgunam)-A Vedantin can contemplate in this form as explained in 564 aphorisms of "Brahma Sutram" of Veda Vyaasa.A Vedantin if he /she prefers need not do any religious rituals, need not go to any temple, need not worship any form or in any name. etc.He can meditate upon Brahman any where the person likes-He/she is not bound by any codes nor commandments.
>A normal person(not a Vedantin) if he /she chooses to understand the Brahman as Benovolent,Kind,Bestower of bests of all --with a form and name, he /she is at liberty to do so(democracy). Then the Brahman is identified as G--O--D--=GOD.He/she need to perform rituals,go to temples, see and experience God with the form and name as he/she likes. They are bound by certain codes and commanments
