1.) Couldn't tell ya. I for one don't take the Bible literally, especially on the story of Noah. It just seems silly to me, like a child's story. I mean no offense by that statement, it's just how I feel.

2.) Bravery is the doing of a couragous act(probably not strictly correct, but correct enough for this argument). Any man(or woman, but from now on let's assume that both sexes are applied in any statement) can exhibit bravery. To believe, or disbelieve, in any god(s) or godess(es) does not make any logical person take uncalculated and stupid risks. To jump on a grenade for your fellow soldiers is a brave thing to do, because if you believe you'll be rewarded or not, it still probably hurt like hell(assuming you didn't die instantly, though until it happens to you, you never know if you might feel that pain for a split second, so for my arguments sake, I will assume it did:P) and you lost your life, at least on this plane of existence.

You never truly know what happens when you die, that is the whole point of having faith. The Christian soldier bravely faced the possibility he could be wrong, or that he might not be worthy of entering his Heaven. The atheist faced a complete ending of his existence. Continue to apply this concept to any faith you would like, in the end, they all gave something up for some one else.

First of all I can see you have never been on a battlefield. You should join the Army , and be a good little solder and find out what it is like. It would be good for you.
The ark was very big. The Lord put them all at peace.
Also a person with out faith is a fool. Go to Iraq . You might find faith in something.

Logic dictates that they are both as brave.

After all, Faith = the belief in things not seen. Therefore just because someone "believes" in something doesn't make it real. Lots of people believe in Santa, the Easter Bunny and that the World will End tomorrow. Also, the brave man doesn't necessarily believe his "gift of life" will go unrewarded in this life. Many people hope that by giving others a second chance, they will learn to appreciate and be thankful and live their lives more fully. Appreciate their families and show them more love, etc.

The answer about Noah is very easy and the other one is obvious.
First of all back then in those days there weren't as many animals as we have now. The ark wasn't a small size like a raft but it was huge. You can see the measurements in the bible. There wasn't a lot of animals back then as there are more species now. So that covers that answer.

Your question about, is a man with faith braver than a man without faith is also very easy to answer.

People don't just have FAITH. They have FAITH in something or someone.

FAITH is always linked to some thing or someone.

For example I have faith in Jesus Christ. If someone were to hook me up to a lie detector test and ask me these questions it would show that I have faith and really believe that..
1. Jesus died and rose (I really believe and have faith in that)
2. Jesus walked on this planet and he will come back again.

I have "faith" that these things are true.

However some folks have faith in things that are not true. Example is the cult of wackos who believed there was a big ufo coming to pick them up so they all had to kill themselves to go up to the mother ship. I kid you not, this happened and we all heard of it in the news.

So having FAITH in something is not always good lol.

We have free will and it is up to US to have FAITH in the right thing.

I think it is good to have faith like I have. But I don't have faith in dumb things :-)

I don't know they had all the species that we have today, but they had different levels on the Ark.And part 2..... Any man who would jump on a grenade to save someone probably is only thinking of saving the other person. But from a hypothetical situation like that, you could look at it this way too. The man with faith could also worry if he was gong to hell. So either way, both brave.

Faith is not a matter of bravery.
Faith is a matter of whether or not you trust God in knowing what is best for you.

When you live by faith, you are entrusting everything you have to God. He knows what is best for us and only wants the best for us. That does not mean that life is going to turn out how we plan, or necessarily how we want. We, as human beings naturally want to be comfortable and want the pleasures of this world to fulfill us. We were not meant to find complete satisfaction here on earth. That is what Heaven is for.

That being said, the man who has a living relationship with the Lord can rest assured that he has a place in Heaven, regardless of whether or not he lives the next second or dies.
The man "without faith" chose to live a life away from the Lord. Everyone has an opportunity to committ their lives to God and follow him. It is not a simple matter of "believing in God".
The devil "believes" in God.

Well, supposing that all breeds of horses once came from only two horses, there were probably a lot less different breeds and species back then and therefore Noah could have easily fit all those animals on the Ark. Does this make sense?

The Ark was a cattle carrier, easily the size of three football fields long, and at least as tall as a 3 story house. Lots of space there, my friend! Think ocean barge...

I don't know about the guys with the grenade. Christian or not, either one is showing a lot of self-sacrifice.

1). The ark was huge.
2). Both men are brave. Jumping on a grenade, if it is to save others, is brave no matter what.

It must have been one really big boat. A man who believes in god and a man who does not would both be sacrificing the only life they have. Faith and bravery have nothing to do with each other.
