Toronto has traffic 24 hours a day, and its quite heavy from say 6 AM till 8 PM on weekdays. However, for _most_ of that time, traffic is moving fairly well. You can expect actual delays from about 6:30 or 7:00 till 10:00 AM, and from perhaps 3:30 till 7:30 PM. There can be delays at other times too, but there is always congestion related slowdowns in those times.

Toronto doesn't have a rush hour. The traffic is always really really heavy. If it makes more sense put this way : Toronto is Canada's New York City.

north Toronto and Mississauga are the two vast places. in case you start up and end close to the 401 you're able to do it in quarter-hour, yet once you start up at Jane and Steeles then end on the lakeshore , it may take very nearly one million hour.

Ha - when I first saw the question headline - my first thought was "wait do we ever have NO rush hour?"

And yep most folks feel the same!
