Be patient. Eventually, something will happen that will force him to go. Wisdom teeth, root canal....something. He'll then regret his decision and wish he done it sooner.

I used to be scared of the dentist when I was younger, and guess what, I'm a dental hygienist now. :)

Tell him he can ask for Nitrous for any treatment. It's like being a little tipsy without having to use the toilet all the time. It makes the treatment a lot nicer, trust me.

I could write a long list of WHY he needs to see the dentist. More than likely he's got an on-going gum infection going on. This infection can cause problems in other parts of the body. If his gums bleed when he brushes or flosses, then there's active infection in there.

Are his teeth really bad?? If not, leave him alone. I hate, hate, HATE going to the dentist, but quess what, if my teeth start to hurt or bother me? Guess where I'm going? He'll go, it might not be anything wrong with his teeth right now.

Back off or you won't have a boyfriend to worry about at all. Not everyone goes for regular health or dental exams...but will go if a problem develops. His health is HIS business...if you're married, then it becomes PARTIALLY your business. You cannot force people to do what they don't want to do...nor should you try.

I am 43 years old, and I regret not taking better care of my teeth at a young age. Tell him this story.

stop kissing him until he goes

he needs to go to the dentist (soon enough he will be forced to, because he will lose ALL his teeth to cavities and decay)..
