I just posted the Iraq comments and the consequences of leaving, would it be possilbe to get some responces that are a little less retarded? The whole, "Bush really got to you" and the "crawl back under a rock" comments, come on, the least you could do is exist with an open mind. I swear, the land that was once known for allowing you to speak your mind seems to be gone. I mean you cant voice your opinion unless ofcourse you have the same opinion as everyone else.
If your beliefs are in anyway different people want to burn you at the steak (sorry for any spelling error). Jesus Christ, people I thought we were supposed to be a land of tolerance and rights to speak freely?

You are just learning that you have been deceived by propaganda. The US is, and never was, the land of the free.

Now you need to get past the government propaganda about Iraq and you should be OK

You can speak freely. However that does not guarantee that people will agree with you. You speak of having an open mind but you have closed yours to the opinions of others. If they thought like you they probably would not have even bothered to read your question in the first place.

America IS the land of Free Speech. Larry Flint is actually credited with saying that "the First Amendment gives me (LF) the right to be obscene". Does that give you a clue?

America is NOT the land of verbal tolerance. I don't think one exists.

You said what you wanted to say. It's not illegal. However, it's naive to think you can say anything you want with no consequences whatsoever.

If you like, you walk through Harlem yelling n*gger at the top of your lungs. Nothing illegal about it.

Words have consequences. Words can start wars. If you can't handle a lit bit of 'net name-calling without bursting into tears, you probably shouldn't be here.

Not any more my friend, free speech is for politicians and minority groups, as for the rest of us we are to keep our views and opinions to our self's sad but very true.

I would agree with you on that. I am afraid to say what I think lest I offend someone. If you agree with them its okay as you say.
