If you are asking about DOING work on thee Sabbath, then yes, there are certain religions that believe that only a) those laboring for life or death causes, i.e. hospitals, and b) Pastors can work on Sunday.

The reason behind this being a) even GOD rested on the 7th day, and b) employers who have people working on Sundays are depriving their employees of a day to worship.

I personally do not follow that ethic, maybe because I work in the mental health field, or maybe because I like to shop and eat out on Sundays. However, my Pastor and his family, whom I admire and respect a great deal, will not eat out, shop, or otherwise engage in business. They prepare their meals on Saturday night, and eat them cold on Sundays, so that they are not working (except for pastoring in their church.)

There are a number of conservative Christians that do not work on Sunday, or avoid work as much as possible. In my area (Southern MD, USA), it's extremely common to see Amish-based businesses (farmstands, harness repair, furniture making) with signs up saying "closed Sunday", and they __definitely__ mean it, with only the most essential farmwork (like milking) occurring on that day.

i'm not sure what exactly you mean, but i'll just say this:

religion WORKS every second of every day.

however, christianity is a religion which does not condone working (like working at your job) on sundays. there might be other religions that don't condone working on sundays too, but christianity is the only one i know for sure.

Jesus thought is was hypocritical not to perform miracles on Sundays so I don't know why any religion would not work on Sundays.

I take it you have a job where they want you to work on sunday? Just tell them you are Christian and don't work on the sabbath. They can't force youto, or fire you if you refuse. If you live in Canada or the US at least.
