Spray hair before you use curling iron with L'Oreal hold the curl. When you use iron don't brush curls until you have done all your hair and the hair is cold, then style to how you want and spray with fine hairspray afterwards. It will be too stiff to fall out.

L'oreal curling heat defense spray (its the bright pink bottle one advertised by beyonce) Its the absolute best for those of us who's hair is dead straight and won't budge. Spray this on before you'recurling sections of your hair with curling iron then hairspray afterwards and your curls should look wicked and stay in!

Well i know how you feel. Thick straight hair. Well i wouldn't use curling iron because it kills your hair. No joke. I did rag curls. Cut up pieces of fabric wet your hair and tie your hair up in rags. Sleep in it and the next morning take them out. Put hair spray in it believe me it will help a lot.

Aha. Very simple! Just comb your hair take a small section and use hair spray spray along its length and twist it. Tightly roll the twisted section of the hair around a rag and tie the rag in a firm to hold it in place rag up the rest in small section and leave it for 3 hour. then 3 hour already then you untie it. cool curls! good luck!!!

u have to have some kind of Mousse or Hairspray in ur hair right before you curl... i use a 1 and 1/2 inch barrel curling iron (revlon). u can also use the 1 inch barrel, or Rollers.
my friend used to put mousse in her hair, roll velcro rollers in her hair and sleep in it, take it out in the morning and it would be Curly! be careful...too much or the wrong mousse will make the curls Hard..but they will stay!

I think heated rollers would be your best option if you are after a temporary curl, these are available in different sizes but for thicker hair i would recommend medium to large. You can buy these from shops such as Superdrug or Boots.

if you have straightners, especially ghd's, you can curl with those,,, they actually last much longer than other quick methods because of the temperatures reached., section hair starting at back , bigger sections bigger curls, clamp straightners about 11/2 " from root, turn back in towards root 1/2 turn and pull straight out to ends, bit of practice needed, but once you have the hang it works fabulously..
