No. You'll need a 40 quart or 60 quart heavy pot with lid and basket, burner and propane gas tank, a candy thermometer to measure oil temperature and a food thermometer to determine doneness of the turkey. For added safety, have a fire extinguisher, oven mitts and pot holders nearby. To add flavor with different marinades and seasonings, you may want to purchase an injector. Go here to find ou more.

Yes, you can fry a cut up turkey, such as, the breast or thighs or legs... similar to making Maryland style fried chicken.

If you're talking about frying a whole turkey, probably not, unless you have a really big dutch oven.

When frying a whole turkey, you need at least 3" to the rim of the pot to the hot oil with the turkey in the pot. The oil really starts roiling when you get the turkey in the pan and you need the clearance so the oil doesn't overflow.

The best way to measure how much oil you need is to place the turkey in the pot and fill it with a measured amount of water until the turkey is covered with about 1" of water. This will give you an idea of how much oil you need and how much clearance you have to the top of the pan.

I take it you're thinking of DEEP FRYING the Turkey... you need to make SURE that the Turkey will fit, and you still have 3-4 inches of space when the turkey displaces the oil...

Otherwise you're looking at a MAJOR fire... more houses are lost each Thanksgiving to Deep-Fried Turkeys than to Oven-Roast Turkey's!!

Good luck
