This is the area where Jehovah told his people, "Jehovah's Witnesses," that he has chosen them to be his people.
The word of God from his own mouth!

No one else can rightly carry his name.

(A loyal witness)

Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

Isaiah is speaking about all the nations of the world in 43:9 it tells you that. The Lord is saying that we are the servants that he has chosen to serve him and do his will and that we will know him in our hearts and believe what he has said. He also says that before him there were no other Gods as the Egyptians and other nations had believed in false idols. He also says that there will be no God after him, meaning that he is the only God there ever was or will be.

Hope that helps. Keep in mind that everyone translates the bible differently. God bless!

Originially it pertained to the Israelites since God had made them his chosen nation (through his covenant with Abraham). They were considered to be his people--a chosen nation. The Israelites were born into this covenant arrangement. After the death of Christ, the Abrahamic covenant was done away with. The Jews were no longer the only ones that could have this special relationship with Jehovah God. People of other nations were then allowed to be a part of this covenant relationship. This now pertains to those who worship Jehovah God (particularly the 144,000 chosen from the earth to be co-rulers in heaven with Jesus) and keep his commandments. This is where Jehovah's Witnesses get their name.

It is pertaining to the Last days witnesses Yaaqob and Yisrayl.

Isayah 44:5—
One will say; I belong to Yahweh, and the SAME will call himself with the name of YAAQOB. The OTHER will subscribe with his hand, and write; I belong to Yahweh, and surname himself with the name of YISRAYL.

6 This is what Yahweh, the King of Israyl, and Redeemer, Yahweh of hosts, says: I am the first, and I am the last, and except for Me there is no source of power!
7 And Who, as I, will foretell, and set it in order for Me, since I appointed the ancient people? And the things which are coming, and will come, let them foretell them.
8 Do not fear, nor be afraid. Have I not told you from that time, and have declared; YOU ARE MY WITNESSES! Is there a source of Power except Me? Truly, there is no other rock; I know not one.

REVELATION 11:3-5—
3 And I will give to My Two Witnesses to perform their prophetic offices, and they will foretell events about the one thousand two hundred and sixty days, those cast about with darkness.
4 These are, as it were, the two olive trees, and, as it were, the two lamps of the seven lamp lampstand, ministering for the Father in the earth.
5 And if any among them determines in his mind to commit sin, The Every Word of Yahweh, like the two-edged sword of fire, proceeds out of the mouth of the spokesman of them, and he devours their enemies; and if any among them should continue to commit sin, in this manner it is binding for him to be destroyed.

The previous verses show that God was talking to Israel, his chosen people.

That certainly is the primary or basic interpretation. But that does not mean though that these verses cannot be used by any believer, Jew or Gentile, and be edified today....

"Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me."

Means that we need to recognize the Savior as our Lord God. We should never worship another.
