Glamor Magazine this month described the seven levels of love...1)infatuation 2)Free-fallin' 3)Getting emotionally naked 4)Call it ESP 5)Breathing room 6) the second fall 7)as good as it gets. It's actually a pretty good article but I won't clog up answers with the whole thing. Pick up a copy its on pages 188-190. There's a lot of other good articles and beauty advice too.

Here's a very simple version:

Level 1: Can't stand.
Level 2: Aren't particularly fond of.
Level 3: Kind of like.
Level 4: Can't live without.

Initial attraction, lust/crush/like, the feeling that you'd do anything for them, LOVE. : )

In order to truly love someone i think you have to put them before yourself. That might be what these people mean.

there are no stages. there is like, lust and love. like is to be like 'yah, i'll go with them. i'll give them a chance' to lust is "damn, i really want to get it on with him!'' to love is "no matter wat u look like, i love you for who you really are". there are no stages. don't get confused
