Everyone has a spirit. The question might be better put if you ask, "Do you think it's important to develop your spirituality?"

The answer to that question is yes. Why? Because this world is a proving ground for the next one, and what we do here determines where we go. If we choose to seek and serve God, we will be with God in eternity. If we choose to seek and serve worldly things, then we will perish to eternity.

So, not only is it important, it is really the only thing of importance.

Let me tell you. When you go through some **** like people die or
you get to a point in your life where you actually contemplate suicide and rationally conclude that this is the rational alternative to continuing to live you have no choice than to discover the spiritual side. I've gone through the above and I've discovered that I never really had a reason to have a spiritual side before, I went about this life as though it went on forever. It does not and you've got to change what you think now and then and live for love.

Yes I do think it is important to have a spiritual side .It is a balance to the materialistic side .Spirituality is hard to acquire as it takes time to get to know the inner you. This busy world sometimes takes those moments away and adds to daily anxiety . The spiritual side is true-full and not full of doubt and self questioning whereas the materialistic side is where jealously and greed come from . Every Individual should find a method that works for them to get in touch with their spiritually . I do recommend Yoga for focus , nutrition and meditation .

Spirituality is a means by which we relate to the world around us. Even atheists have a "spiritual" side.

Without spirituality, we're merely organisms responding to the stimuli of our environment. We rational beings need more than that.

Yes, it's very important. We were created with a spiritual need, and if we ignore it, we'll never be truly happy, no matter how much money you make or how many other areas in life you succeed in.

Read this and think deeply.

004:171] O people of the Scripture (Christians)! Do not exceed the limits in your religion, nor say of Allâh aught but the truth. The Messiah 'Îsâ (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), was (no more than) a Messenger of Allâh and His Word, ("Be!" – and he was) which He bestowed on Maryam (Mary) and a spirit (Rûh) created by Him; so believe in Allâh and His Messengers. Say not: "Three (trinity)!" Cease! (it is) better for you. For Allâh is (the only) One Ilâh (God), Glorified is He (Far Exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allâh is All-Sufficient as a Disposer of affairs.

[004:172] The Messiah will never be proud to reject to be a slave of Allâh, nor the angels who are the near (to Allâh). And whosoever rejects His worship and is proud, then He will gather them all together to Himself.

[004:173] So, as for those who believed (in the Oneness of Allâh – Islâmic Monotheism) and did deeds of righteousness, He will give them their (due) rewards – and more out of His bounty. But as for those who refused His worship and were proud, He will punish them with a painful torment. And they will not find for themselves besides Allâh any protector or helper.

[004:174] O mankind! Verily, there has come to you a convincing proof (Prophet Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) from your Lord; and We sent down to you a manifest light (this Qur'ân).

[004:175] So, as for those who believed in Allâh and held fast to Him, He will admit them to His Mercy and Grace (i.e. Paradise), and guide them to Himself by a Straight Path.

That depends what you mean by 'spritual'. If you are referring to things you feel deeply about, such as the love of your family, great music, the natural world, your favourite place and so on, then of course it's very important to have things like that - It's what makes life fulfilling and worthwhile.

Yes, it's vitally important to have a spiritual side of us.

Why? Because of what happens to our eternal soul AFTER this experience.

Yes! And I think the best reason is because Jesus told us to go and make disciples. You must believe in what your doing to do it.
And most of us enjoy doing it!

Doing it correctly means a lot of study, and hard work getting to people's homes and teaching those who will listen......(Jesus sheep)
