GET HER TO THE EMERGANCY ROOM NOW!!!! Even if she doesn't want to go, pick her up and drag her there if you have to. The Stent could have moved, slipped or any number of other problems. SOB is nothing to fool around with.

My Mum had esophagus cancer too and she had a length of the esophagus removed, which in turn brought her stomach up towards her chest. She can only eat small portions of food. She has to sleep in a slightly elevated position to stop the gases coming up from the stomach and into her throat. I hope this helps. Good luck to your Mum. xx
