I really like this guy I think he's cute and nice, we're friends between aquaintance and friends.
Well I just feel like that one day/night if I run into him and he's alone I wanna ask him if he's got anything going on tonight and if he says no, to ask him if he wants to do something or go somewhere with me just for the heck of it anything he wants.
Good idea? Suggestions?

Well he will probably really like you for a few minutes at least, but a lot of girls that do that find out that they don't live happily ever after.
