We homeschool and only have 1 child. Most I know have less than 4 children and I am part of a very large homeschool group. There are several groups that homeschool for religious reasons and those same religious groups probably do not use birth control. I wouldn't say that 50% of homeschoolers have very large families

Those with many kids who are homeschooling understand the value of family life. That's why some people homeschool. I also know many people who homeschool who have only 1 or 2 kids. It just may be that you notice the ones with large families more because they stand out a bit more.

Maybe parents who like children and want to have a lot also enjoy being with them during the day. I do know that four children doesn't seem like so many when you love the three you have--when I only had 2 four seemed like an enormous family, but it doesn't anymore! (And homeschooling seemed really "weird" when I first heard of it, but we've been doing it now for 13 years, 2 sons have graduated and are in college, and we all wouldn't change a thing).

Maybe there are people that have figured out that the "planned parenthood" garbage is a bunch of bunk. They realize that children are wonderful human beings that make a family rich in love and caring.
The ridiculous 2 child *limit* is absurd. That stuff started quite a few years ago with people that hate people. In China they force people to limit their family size --- that is so disgusting -- have you ever heard about HOW they do it?
Children were meant to be born! They were meant to live. Life is a blessing. The more the merrier!!!!
I have four children and it isn't enough!!! I love them all and the more I love them the more love I have for others. I wish I had been able to have six or even eight. Four is great -- NOW I have 3 grandbabies. Children ARE our future. If we don't have them what kind of future will there be?
The children that we have now are the people that will keep this world going ---- when you are very old and in need of help it will be the next generation of children that give you a hand.
It is so weird to see so many people robotically stick to an unspoken mandate to not have large families.
I know many home-school families with only one child and then I know others with up to 16 children. It doesn't matter does it?

A large percentage of homeschooling families are religious; many religions support large families. Also, the statistical profile of a homeschooler is a rich, white family; rich people can afford to have more kids but I don't know if the latter means much.
I on the other hand am homeschooled and have only one sibling: my twin.

Because normally people who are willing to spend their time and money to homeschool are #1. more caring for their kids...
2. They are closer to their kids, and know how nice it is to have close friends...(Kids can be friends too)
3. Some are more religous, and the Bible says kids are a blessing.
I"m sure there are a lot more reasons than these too!

It would indeed be a phenomenon if it were true, but I haven't seen any statistics that support your statement. In fact, based on the home schooled families I know, it would be just the opposite.

Many home schooling parents take the Bible literally when it tells us "to be fruitful and multiply". Most people home school because of religious values and convictions, but there are multiple reason to home school. Anyone can home school and there are every kind of combinations of family within the home school community so it probably isn't good to generalize and think that ONLY large families home school. Many Christians feel God should decide how many children they have so they trust God to give them the children He wants to give them.

These parents tend to be members of an apostate, heretical religious group; typically Mormons or Pentecostal (Charismatic) Christians. I'm sure there are exceptions. They also think that if one child is good, ten is better. Strange. I know of some homeschoolers who only have one child. they think that public schools are evil (which they are but that is the world we live in) and will ruin their child. I wonder what this guy will be like when he goes to college and someone puts a beer and a Penthouse in front of him?

or maybe we beat our children if they don't do 23 hours of bible study a day
or maybe we're all inbred
we have no social skills
all we know how to do well is breed more of us?
FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!!
Where on EARTH do people come up with this nonsense????
