What type of bird seed are you using (besides the suet and thistle)? Is it a general mixed seed? Try black sunflower seeds for birds. I used to use the all purpose seed mix, but found I mostly attracted sparrows and starlings. When I switched to the black sunflower seeds, I've had a better variety of birds. It is a bit more expensive, but I think worth it! P.S. The only bird that seems to eat my suet are the woodpeckers, but they are always welcome.

If you've never had feeders up before this it can take as long as 3 months for the birds to regularly use your feeders. Keep them up and keep offering food. It'll just take a bit of time for them to realize that a new buffet has been put up :-) . I think it took 2 months before the birds started using my dad's feeders when they first came up. Not many came at first, but by the second and the third season we had to put up 2 extra feeders because people were fighting for dinner!

Count your blessings & take them down. Birds always look greener in your neigbors yards. It is easier to get them to come then to get them to leave. They make noise at all the wrong times, make a mess in all the wrong spots, & the feeders will attrack squirrels (try getting them out of your roof once they chew their way in).

Oftentimes, birds are attracted to one color more than others, so try a different color than the ones you have or try changing the location to a more visible and accesible spot.

dont worry, be patient.
Birds tend to be habitual feeders if they know a ready source of food.
They will soon discover yours and start to use them
