What do you all think about letting Illegal Aliens from any where sneak into the United States. Not just from Mexico that is mostly being broadcast over the news. And then treat them as if they had done nothing wrong. I think that this is wrong and my personal opion is that it seems like they are getting more rights then any one else. I mean if I was to go and do something Illegal I would be arrested and sentenced. So I am just curious as to what every one else thinks. Cause if they can come over here Illegaly and all it takes to make them legal is for them to get a job basically then no matter what I do its legal cause I already have a job. Thats the sense it makes to me. So please let me know your opinion. Thanks.

I agree. I can understand the desperation of their situation, but if they want to be here, they have a responsibility to follow our laws, just as Americans who go to Mexico have a responsibility to follow their laws. Personally, I think part of the problem is NAFTA; it has caused unemployment in all three countries involved, especially Mexico. A bad decision on the part of the government has helped to put them in this situation. But if they want better lives, how good can those lives be if the "goodness" was achieved through dishonesty and deception? It's still not right for them to break our laws because they would be sending us back to the U.S. if we broke one of theirs. That's what makes sense to me.

I think everyone else thinks exactly what you think except for the illegals and their "La Rasa" Mexican compatriots here and abroad, and a lot of the farmers and people in construction who "use" them for cheap labor, which may or may not be wrong, I'm not sure. So it might be OK to have a guest worker program?

And there also might be an argument that letting everyone cross any border and having open, government hands off, trade and business would make the world better for even us already here.

It's not as though people could move here if there were no place to live, so they'd have to work hard enough to buy in, and if they're hard working, honest and able, then wouldn't you want to hire the best person for the job, not just the best American?

And if there's no unions and no minimum wage (both government and socialized involvement in business which should probably both be illegal), then the unskilled, uneducated Mexicans can pick crops for $1/hour while I will still have my education and experience and sell computers for $20/hour, not because the government or voters insist, but because I'm worth what I can do.

Most illegals jump the fence so to speak due to the fact of the regulations and rules on immigration the government has in place . Imagine you are a Mexican and have not had a good education and cannot make the requirements and regulations and you earn next to nothing to support your family . I can see why the desire to emigrate to a different state is desirable. the individual may of seen media and hearsay and Images of land of the free and think they can better your life chances . Some of these individuals see no other choice especially when they have family . Some are compelled enough to break the law in order to try to earn more money in another country by doing the jobs lets face it most of us would not do . It is a big decision to leave family members for years on end,to live in squalid conditions and have employment in a low paid job with no rights .but it is sure better than watching your family stave to death .

I am so against 'illegal' aliens being here.
I do not want them to have permanent residency, nor to have amnesty! If you wish these things, you should have come here legally.
If you do not care for the way your country is treating you, make your voice heard, there! that is the only way things will change for you and your family.
You have no regards for me, my country, or my countrymen. I know what happened in the 80's, and it was a slap in the face for the people of the United States!
This is a very good way to divide this country.
We need to look to our own people, and care for those that are ours. We make this big pretense that everything here is alright, couldn't be better, and yet our people are starving, going without medication, etc. Send 'all' the illegals back to their homeland, and let them demand their rights there. Let them begin the change there. We need to make the change here, and it needs to be for our people. We can't continue to go any further with a blind eye, people.

Legal immigrants - WELCOME!!
All others, GO HOME!

There's two sides to everything. I am not an illegal so don't think I'm defending them. I'm not but they just want a better life for their families. Wouldn't you want the same for your kids.?They're told they can find it here in America. They live in filth and poverty. They risk their lives to sneak over the boarder because they can't afford to come in legally. Alot of them die in the process. I know it's not the way it should be but I do see both sides.

I guess I'm pretty dumb for continuing to answer questions in this category but if you really want an answer inform yourself of the facts, read other threads, watch the news and explore this issue fully from both sides. You're not really curious, you just want to join the bash fest.

There are two ways to have the tallest building in the city, one way is to knock down all the other buildings. All that back slapping 'kick 'em over the fence' type talk is simply a sign of ignorance.

I can't disagree with you. Not only that, in my country, Canada, and especially in Ontario, our health system is on the edge, our schools are in the same mess. But consider sending them all back to their birth countries, WOW what an expense that would be to the taxpayers. We, on both sides of the boarder, need to work together on this issue.

I think breaking our laws is wrong. I am not concerned about my job, or whether or not my children are being deprived of their rights and privileges as American citizens, I just think illegal means illegal.

Perhaps the illegals feel superior to their counterparts who are applying for citizenship in Mexico..or elsewhere....because they jumped the fence.

I believe in accountability. Sooner or later time will catch up with them and they will absolutely be accountable. This will be a harsh day, but one they should expect as they understand they are here by virtue of breaking our laws.

Taxes...if you live and work in the US you have to pay Taxes. If not deportation is the only answer.

I have to give one thing(and only one thing) to the madman in the white house...close the boarder till we figure out what to do.

Obama in 08! feel it!
