Its been a month since me n my ex boyfriend broke up.......he has a new girlfriend which kinda sucks because now there is no chance for us to get back together.....but im tryin to let him go and get over him....but it really dosent seem to work he always pops right back in my head.....ive meet a new guy but my ex still sometimes comes to mind....how can i get him out of my mind for good?

I've heard it's a year for every 5 you were together. But that's usually for people who were married. Just give yourself as much time as you need. The less you see him, the less you'll think about him. You deserve some time to concentrate on yourself before jumping into a new relationship and to get over the past one. It took me months to get over my ex, who left the state to go to school (which he never did) and then moved right in with someone else. It hurt and I was mad, but I spent the months working out and feeling better about myself. Then when I met someone I really liked, I knew I was doing it for the right reasons and 2 years later, I'm still with him. My ex is still serial-dating...so give yourself some time (obviously he didn't!) And treat yourself well!

It justs takes time.... I thought I was completely over my ex until i found out he had a new girl and then I became sad again. It all depends how long you were together and how involved you were. i was over mine after 2months and then after 3 he braggs about his new girl and then I felt bad for half a month. It all depends really... good luck... just get out there and date, ull get over him soon enough

I got over my ex after the 3rd bottle of Jose Cuervo.
Couldn't find my face, but didn't care about the ex either!
