I need a little help with this... my wedding colour theme is white and gold, my bridesmaids are wearing all gold dresses and gold tiaras, the men are wearing gold waistcoats and cravats. Im wearing a white dress, pearls are also in my theme...would it look stupid if i wore pearl&diamonte&silver tiara and a pearl diamonte necklace/choker? would this really look silly with my gold theme? as i dont really suit gold tiaras.

Would it look silly...yes. Is it what you want to wear, Yes...so go for it. I would probably change the tiaras of your bridesmaids to silver as the gold probably won't match their dresses anyway. The focus will really be on the dresses anyway for both the men and women and so long as you don't have overpowering accessories, you should be ok. Accessories should enhance the dress, not take away from it. You don't want the eye drawn to the head first thing because it sticks out like a sore thumb. If your dress is beaded or heavily embellished, you should go with either the pearls or the diamonte but not both.

Good luck, and I hope I helped. It's a wonderful day, and really as long as you feel beautiful, you are beautiful.

I were a wedding ceremony cake fashion designer/ baker for 8 years. I have considered some color combos that can make a clown recoil. if you're going for classy not something in my opinion looks more effective than ordinary white and Ivory. I have considered organic white with ivory touched, or ivory with white, and both look solid. to characteristic a touch glitter some gold accents to play off the ivory artwork nicely, yet purely use a touch gold or it would want to look gaudy.

never wear pearls with your wedding gown. you would look so pale in pictures. as in no color contrast. wear diamond instead or yellow gold jewelries. atleast it balance your theme. but why gold? is this a golden wedding anniversary? I would suggest that you put a liitle contrast to your theme. coz white and gold is a bad theme. unless it's pearl white or ekru.

It's your wedding. It would be stupid to wear anything that you think makes you look bd or you don't feel comfortable with. Ignore all those nay sayers it's your day and have it the way you would want it and feel comfortable having it.

I remember the first pearl necklace I gave to my wife on our wedding day
It was chunky, she loved it.
Have a nice day

It's your day and you should wear what you want. If you want purple polka dots that what you should have. Your idea sounds lovely and I don't think it will look out of place at all!

Happy Planning!

wear whatever you want! you are not supposed to blend in with your 'girls' you are supposed to stand out, so your idea works perfectly.
