You don't want to, at least not yet, because all the other girls are probably trying to pick up the hot new foreign exchange student at the same time, and no matter how great you are, you probably won't stand out and he'll just think you're after his *** too (which you are, but let's pretend he's not looking for that). If you have a class with him, just make friends, or if he finds a group of guy friends that you know, say hi to the guy friends and then introduce yourself. Just don't hang all over him and follow him around because he'll probably be creeped out and not like it (otherwise end up using you for sex or something, and I don't know if you want that either). This one Italian exchange student came for a semester in high school a few years back and all the girls went crazy over him, but he didn't like any of them and knew they were all just out to get his (nice) a$s. So it kind of depends on what you want out of the whole mess...a real relationship (risk of getting hurt) or a quickie?

Is that a statement or a question? Why aren't you capitalizing the first person 'I'? Why aren't you capitalizing the first word of each sentence? Stay home and learn proper English first ...aye mate? Wouldn't want the Australian's to think we don't educate our young people over here now would you?

learn a bit of her language and then walk up to speaking her language. You know saying, in her language, Hi, It is nice to meet or see you again. learn something about his/her homeland and talk about how that interests you and ask them to coffee. Coffee is not threatening.

learn how to say at least "hello" in their native language and take it from there. someone showing interest in your life is a big turn-on for a lot of people 'cause we're all a little bit (secretly) self-centered!! :)
