every move we make in the internet is recorded to our provider's database for a long period, so yes it is possible but i wouldn't worry.
They cannot put us all to jail :):)

yes of course. the file trail is still on your computer even if you deleted everything. all you have to do is reformat your hard drive with a d.o.d. (department of defense) disk wipe and the trail will be gone. even most of the people that specialize in data recovery will never be able to recover it. dban replaces everything on your hard drive with zeros and makes about 6 or 7 passes to make certain it gets it all.

the only absolutely secure way is to melt down the entire drive and make a hammer head can out of it. :)
