Doesn't sound like you need Ritalin, maybe you could try some St John's Wort which is a herbal anti depressant and if that doesn't work then go to your docs and see what they suggest. Ritalin is mainly prescribed for ADHD not for depression, which it sounds like you have.

You don't get a doctor to prescribe Ritalin for you.
What you do is go to the doctor and tell the doctor how you've been feeling. You could have a thyroid problem or depression or a million other things. Ritalin could make those problems worse.
Get the correct diagnosis before you medicate yourself

Being constantly tired and unable to focus on anything doesn't really sound like attention defecit disorder to me, what makes you think you need Ritalin?
I'd talk to your GP.

You haven't said how old you are. I always thought Ritalin was to help children concentrating on their work while they were in school. Check you're eating a healthy diet and exercising regularly before you start a dependence on drugs of any kind. Once you start on that route, you're lost!

You don`t. Ritalin is an anti psuchotic med that works in reverse for pre adolescent children. ADD meds for adolescents and adults is different. Fatigue is not a feature of add sounds more like depression...see adoc or psych and tell them all your symptoms.

Perhaps Ritalin would not be the thing for you. I think you need an anti-depressant or something to cheer you up....

Why do you think you need Ritalin? You could have a vitamin deficiency or anything else. You need to talk to your doctor.

you will only be prescribed Ritalin if you suffer from A.D.H.D
ATTENTION DEFICIT HYPERACTIVITY DISORDER.
IT HAS A CALMING AFFECT ON THAT DISORDER.
for concentration drink a lot of water and eat brain foods such as fish or omega 3 fish oil vitamins.
and of course make sure that you have plenty of sleep.
no medication is required.

i doubt your doctor would prescribe this drug. its highly addictive. there are a lot of side effects connected to this drug
What are its long-term effects?
High doses of stimulants produce a predictable set of symptoms that include loss of appetite (may cause serious malnutrition), tremors and muscle twitching, fevers, convulsions, and headaches (may be severe), irregular heartbeat and respirations (may be profound and life threatening), anxiety, restlessness, paranoia, hallucinations, and delusions, excessive repetition of movements and meaningless tasks, and formicaton (sensation of bugs or worms crawling under the skin).
