Your "odd feelings" stem not from the religion itself, but some association you have made with it. You see signs of other religions all the time, but you do not recognize them as readily, because you have become hyper-sensitive to this particular religion. Again, brought on by some association you have to it.

Once our minds associated items together, it is difficult to make the separation again, although they are sometimes replaced by an association that is larger or more recent.

As an example: If you associate religion "A" with violence and murder, due to recent articles or news items, and you abhor violence and are saddened by murder, these emotions will become ingrained to that religion and any reference or symbol of religion "A" will cause you to respond to your emotional feelings towards violence and murder.

I think that taking a broader view of the religion in question and researching factual information may help you to find that there is good and bad in all formalized religions. This may help you to disassociate your feelings in time. If you cannot find peace with your feelings over this particular religion, then resolve yourself in knowing that the way you choose to lead your life is your greatest testament to your own beliefs. Good luck!

Generally most religions are actually based upon pretty sound ideas when you look into them (except Scientology which as far as my researches have got seems to be just insane). Anyway what I think you should do is buy and read the holy book of whatever religion you don't like and find out how moderate and reasonable the religion actually is. You don't have to believe it, juts read it (like a newspaper lol) and I am sure by the time you have finished you will not feel such animosity towards it (or become so used to feeling weird you just don't notice it anymore).

Anyway have a great day!

An entire religion? Perhaps you have been preconditioned at some point in your life to think negatively about the religion. I have ran into 2 ministers in my lifetime and had that reaction before I ever knew they were present in the same place. I don't know how the one of the lives turned out, I know the other later was found to have a gambling problem and a girlfriend.

Why you can't control this feeling , this thinks ;
sometimes we use just our brain to analyze the life due to our own knowledge and we forget that there’s a part of us is really unknown , unphysical and doesn’t belong to that knowledge and we don’t really know about it , it’s the Soul , it’s the real us, it’s the part that sometimes we cant control as we control our physical body.

This soul is the part who feels happiness, Sadness, Fear and we lost all this feelings when this part leaves our bodies.

This Soul is unknown exactly as the GOD , Muslims says that the Soul is a part of the God , and all the religions is the God’s instructions to us to make this Part to feel Hapiness, to feel in peace; he create it and he know the best for it.

I’ve listened to a lot of very disappointing stories of people really feels lost about that .
But why sometimes that we don’t feel that our souls are Happy however we have worked hard on the Physical part of us to reach that happiness.

We always feel happy for a very short times then we feel lost .

Why we don’t think for a one time that this Soul mat be belong to That God who invented us (us it Both the physical and Nonphysical parts).

That GOD who has invented everything around us with this all inelegance and beauty.

Do you know who invented the Colors , how do we learned about the Beauty
Do you know who invented the Voices, The water , The Skys

Do you think no one did that. Or you have thought for it even for once.

That is the Test , that’s what the God needs us to know and when we find the Question you’ll not belive how much happiness you’ll feel inside you, it’s a personal experience with a lot of my friends who was busy all the days with working on the Physical part to find the happiness.

We thought the happiness could be in the Money, Education , Marrigae , Sex Drinknig , Smokin …. But it’s all ends with very short happiness for the physical part of us and a lot of sadness to the nonPhysicalpart.

So how you could find the way.

If it’s a really a God and he created all this World with all the creatures, then of course he could see us, He could help us, and if we really want to know him, HE WILL LEAD US, but just if we really really want to know,.

God created everything and wanted the Humans to look around and think if there is someone behind that intelligence of all that creations.

I have had many experiences with friends discussing that and I asked them to do one fair thing regarding of all the religions and debates:

So just try that, Go to your Own place , Look to Up , and Talk to him , Ask God Twice a Day that you want anything to Prove that there is a God , Ask him that you want the Happiness for your Soul.

If you did that from the bottom of your heart, Believe me you will know, and you’ll be surprised how much peace and happiness you will feel , but The God always want to see that you are serious , that you really want to know him.

It’s easy but just the Serious people will do that and it’s really Works.

The Muslims Quraan Tells that the The God Says “When My servants ask thee concerning Me, I am indeed close (to them): I listen to the prayer of every suppliant when he calleth on Me: Let them also, with a will, Listen to My call, and believe in Me: That they may walk in the right way”

"Krishna says Abandon all varieties of Religions and just surrender to me I will protect you do not feat." We have to actually go beyond Religion to come to the highest platform. I do not mean throw the baby out with the Bath water. I mean take the essence of all Truth. Truth you can not change but religious traditions and dogma and all that you can. I found universal truths on a web The United Relief Network. Don' be scared when you see some types of religions listed there. They are taking the truth not religion from them. http://www.stephen-knapp.com Though Religion can be a fry don't let it stop you from seeking the Truth and there are truths in every religion though you have to generally do a lot of weeding out.

Your fixation is quite normal! The ones to worry about are the media and the government in whose interest it is to manipulate perception for their own ends!
Next time you see/hear/read something that makes you 'twitch', just ask yourself where the information comes from? is it reliable? will there be something else to capture the public's imagination in another two (?) weeks time? does it REALLY affect my life? will your paycheck decrease because of it? will you be rendered homeless? Because there are some REALLY important things out there that need your attention.
Look to your own life - religion is a personal choice NOT a civic requirement!!

this particular religion seems to be reminding you of god within
the shiver you feel is the spirit being stirred into its awakening
you are particularilly drawn instinctivly to it
you are seeing its sign every where is in itself too a sign
we all have had previous incarnations your previous incarnation calls to you to awaken to your passion your love
your own particular narrow path ,i would think you are being called spiritually to at least check it out further,
attend a service or one of its catherings or a priest or other of the church
whatever you will only know more by going and seeing ,it will either feel as returning home or not,the return will be as meeting your self all will have a familiar feel ,feeling as family or not ,many are called few are chosen
you can accept your feeling or reject it ,but youwont realise what you feel till you go ,if only for your own peace of mind you must go at least one time ,go with a friend if that seems rught ,but have no fear ,before love fear has no force.

Organized religion is the worst thing that ever happened to Christianity. God wanted a relationship with His people and they responded by erecting all these formal barriers between God and His people.
To answer your problem are you perhaps reading too much into what you see and hear, much like the person who believes everyone is talking about him? If it is not obvious to others why is it obvious to you?

Listen, God IS full of ****. Churches are all stupid, and they just want money. And as people from Serbia say: "One goes to church to get rich, or to get saved."
But personally, I think it's the first one. It's the same with other religions. And every religion hates other religions. That's a fact.
And don't fell the shivers from religion. You don't like it, so what! That's only your personal opinion. Stick to it!

Galatians 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

The reality is we are spiritual beings. You are fighting against the prompting of the Holy Spirit. You need to get on your knees and ask for Jesus to come into your heart. Learn about the ten commandments and keep them holy. Keep the Sabbath day holy.
