are you thinking of starting a business? if so, you should have one.
depending on the state where you live, you must have a contractors license if the aggregate cost of work performed exceeds a certain amount.
one very important benefit of having a license is that if a customer tries to stiff you you can sue them. no license, no rights.
you will also need a business license and a ficticious business name so you can cash the checks your customers will write you.
don't be discouraged by this. it's not that hard of a process.
closet organizers are a growing business. go for it!

Oh man I hope not!!!! I just installed one in my closet and it didn't say anything on the freakin' box about needing a license!!! Holy sh*t, what if I get BUSTED?? Am I gonna go to jail?? I'm goin' to rip mine down RIGHT NOW!!
