It depends:
If the Arabs put down their weapons, there will be peace.
If Israel puts down its weapons, THERE WILL BE NO MORE ISRAEL.
And how can Muslims take back something which was never theirs?
The quran never mentions Jerusalem, but the Bible mentions it HUNDREDS OF TIMES!
Why can't the 280 million Muslims in the Mid-East leave the 5 million Israelis alone??????

Israel will exist until the end of earth's existance. Israel will exist because it has a strong alliance with the United States and other countries as well. The Jewish community has both the money and power to make sure Israel will exist. A perfect example of this is the war against Lebanon. Though Lebanon is bigger, has a bigger population compared to Israel, still did was no match for Israel. The Jewish community did everything in their power worldwide to make sure that Israel came out victrorious in that mini war. The Jewish leaders control the media so they protrayed the war however they saw fit. Is it fair? This is for the reader to ask him or herself and to answer. Also to answer the second part of your question my answer is no. The Muslims can try to take back Jersualem, but as long as the Jews are united and have the power and the money, the muslims will not succeed in taking back Jerusalem.

The State of Israel is to be differentiated from the Land of Israel. Technically you can have the State of Israel even in Europe, it's a human creation. But the Land of Israel is a place carved out of the Middle East by God, who has set the boundaries of the Promised Land. This Land is a covenant land given to the people of Israel, wherever they may be or are scattered. Until the present heavens and earth are passed away, the Land of Israel will always belong to the people of Israel.

The state of Israel will exist until the 2nd coming of the Lord, (not the rapture). The Lord will intervene when all the nations of the world will turn against her and appear to be getting the upper hand. The Lord then sets up His millennial reign.
The muslims will never take Jerusalem, you can trust God's word.
