Well I'm going to be 12 too. You should ask him if you wait for him you may never get together. So if you really want him write a note or tell him to his face. When you really want something you should go for it!

You are both so young.
Chances are, you will each go your separate ways because life holds in store for you many twists and turns.
I often ponder what ever happened to the young chicks I used to have an eye out for.
My ninth grade class in High School had an abundance of nice girls.
Hope this turns out to be your one and only, but I hate to tell you, he may disappear in a flash...and life goes on.
It's what I would call a longshot should you two become a pair for life.

don't ask him "out", just invite him to do something fun. like "you want to goto this show on ***day?" and dont make a move untill you've gone out a couple times, you might find he's not exactley what you were hoping for. by they way your REALLY young so don't try anything funny >=( if he hasen't asked you out it's probably cuz he has know idea what you would do together. but remember theres PLEANTY to do. goto a show, movie, take a walk, goto a protest, even just hanging out at home can be SOMETHING!
and last remember theres plenty of fish in the sea.

stay friends with him. give it time. don't rush anything. wait until he asks you out. give it time. i meant to repeat that because it is so important to not rush into anything. I made that mistake when i was about your age. I took a crush i had on a guy too far, told myself it was love, that he was the one, etc. then i learned he liked someone else. that put a big dent in my hopes. i was even more devastated when he did not return my feelings. i liked him, he was my friend but he liked her better and she liked someone else. it was a messy situtation. so just keep it friendly, for now. i don't want you to get hurt like i was.

Girl this is the 21st century ask him out. If you wait for him to ask you out and he has no idea you are into him, then you may be waiting awhile. There is nothing wrong with a girl asking a guy out. I've asked guys out.
