We were infested with fleas all over our house; so bad that you could watch them jump. We tried bombing to no avail. Fleas have four stages and the bombs only work on one or two stages.I knew their had to be a natural way to get rid of fleas: I found it and it's cheap too. This will be hard for the clean freak to follow, but take heart it works. I used an old 'Carpet Fresh' container. Fill it 1/2 way with table salt and 1/2 borax laundry booster. Mix (shake) well. Sprinkle over carpet, any flooring, and furniture that is infested(put sheets over the furniture so the stuff doesn't get all over you or your clothes). Leave it for two days DO NOT VACUUM!!!After the 2nd day vacuum and throw out the bag if you have one. I have been flea free for 4 years. It only took one time.
i hope this helps. i know that our dogs outside used to get their flea friends jumping in our house also but when we got clark pest control they where gone from indoors!. we had all kinds of bites as well even my kids had them badly. if it happens again i am going to try this borax treatment this lady used.. good luck!!

one word...BORAX!!!!
Ok this will kill them in your carpet
Just put some down and vacuum it up
actually if you cake it in your carpet and vacuum it up...there will be some residue and you wont have fleas for about a year
sprinkle some on the beds in your house...and any other place where u think they could be hiding
anywhere else you can buy flea foggers. Wash your bedding/clothing!
EDIT:
Flea collars and other things may hurt your dog. Hartz has been known for this. Try insect repellents for the home instead of on your pets as this may hurt them more than help

Heartgard Plus (manufactured by Merial) doesn't control fleas. It is used for heartworms and intestinal worms. Try a topical solution such as FRONTLINE or BIO-SPOT to control fleas on your dog and cat. Be aware that the active ingrediant in flea bombs and some dog flea medicines is toxic to cats. If you have a cat it isn't safe to use any pesticide containing "permethrin". Look instead for household treatments that contain "pyrethrin" or "pyxipyrofen". While you are waiting for all the fleas to die, get a vetrinary flea shampoo and use it on yourself like body wash. Don't use it on kitty or puppy. The fleas will avoid you and congregate on your pets, where the Frontline or Bio-Spot will kill them.

There is a powder you can sprinkle on your carpet and rugs and then vacuum. Follow the label to see how often you need to use it, but you need to vacuum every day. If you decide to set off a flea bomb it's important to remember to cover your pets food and water dishes. Fish tanks too if you have any. And of course your pets will need to be removed from the house until it's safe to let them back in. If your house is full of fleas then your pets have them as well. A flea collar, or a trip to the vet to pick up something for them is necessary.

Their are 3 organic flea administration combatants that are getting used on the industry as we talk. One is a type of pyrethin derived from chrysanthemums, the different, d-Limonene, is a via-fabricated from the citrus industry. the two a style of are much less poisonous, yet they must nevertheless be used with warning. The third organic flea administration fighter is the main secure way. it particularly is stated as Diatomaceous Earth and is thoroughly risk-free. Diatomaceous earth is fossilized algae it particularly is nearly a chalky dirt. It has sharp edges that penetrate the outer shell of the flea inflicting it to dehydrate and die. no longer purely does this dynamo dirt artwork on fleas, yet fairly lots the different insect you are able to likely think of. thoroughly sparkling your place - ensure you vacuum usually, particularly in puppy areas. Pay particular interest to damp, darkish places. once you're complete vacuuming do away with the bag via burning it or sealing it in a plastic rubbish bag and putting interior the exterior trash. next, wash your puppy's bedding and sprinkle it with Diatomaceous Earth afterwards. additionally sprinkle Diatomaceous Earth on the carpets and different upholstery and artwork in with a brush. I even have an stunning little backyard Duster that i chanced on which easily sprays the powder out so it particularly is less complicated to unfold it. it particularly is rather useful to attempt that still, yet ensure you place on a masks and placed your pets in yet another room in case you utilize this technique so neither of you breathe interior the dirt. After a pair of days you are able to vacuum any last powder up, because it takes approximately 40 8 hours for it to kill the fleas. regrettably, in case you have a severe infestation it particularly is had to "bomb" your place with a commercial pesticide earlier you enforce your organic flea administration plan. in case you detect it particularly is needed to try this ensure you seek for a product that is composed of pyrethrins or resmethrin with the aid of fact the energetic element. those are the least poisonous. additionally be confident you save on with the instructions precisely as they are written.
