People don't seem to know that NATO troops are in charge(not the US anymore) in Afghanistan. NATO troops consist of many counries including Canada-this from a Canadian newspaper:

OTTAWA -- Canada's defence minister says it's costing taxpayers $189 million to send reinforcements, including Leopard tanks, to Afghanistan to support Canadian troops.

KABUL, Afghanistan - NATO took over eastern Afghanistan from U.S.-led forces Thursday, assuming control of 13,000 American troops and command of the entire country.

The commander of the NATO-led force, British Lt. Gen. David Richards, called the move “historic” in a ceremony attended by Afghan President Hamid Karzai and U.S. Lt. Gen. Karl Eikenberry, the top U.S. military commander in Afghanistan.

The U.S., with 13,250 troops, will remain the biggest contributor of troops to the 33,000-strong force.

We need to support the troops-including Canada!

I would hope everybody would support them, they are not the towel boys of the US troops, they are fighting side by side with US forces, facing the same enemy, the same dangers. They have even been awarded the Bronze Star(see link), I support them, I support the US troops, the British troops and all the other troops in the fight. Show some respect.

why do they risk their lives to be the towel boys of the us troops ? I am against them being there. They are for peacetime duties only ..well hockey and beer too. Leave the real fighting to the us troops - they are the only ones who know how to do it.
