I have been with my boyfriend for 3 years and we have a two year old boy. For the past months i have been telling him how i would love for the both of us to get married. He tells me no. Just recently he said that yes he wants to marry me. He hasn't officially proposed but now i'm scared and don't know if he is being serious or just playing around. I really love him but now im scared. What should i do.

Why do you seem so insecure? Simply get out the calendar, pen in hand, and lovingly waltz right up to him and, after planting a big kiss on him, ask him what day in June (july, aug, sept,etc,etc) he wants to walk you down the aisle? Tell him that he means the world to you, and you are excited beyond words, and that this wedding is important to you. Don't speculate about things and don't worry. Make a move and just simply' Do It'. I wish you much happiness and success.

Marriage can be a pretty scary situation to get yourself into. Keep in mind that he has thoughts and feelings to, but don't forget your own and that they are just as important too. if you could find just the right time, when the t.v's are off and your son is in bed, seriously talk to your boyfriend about what you've been feeling and thinking and ask him how he feels too. If i could suggest, consider visiting a counselor and see if they could offer any professional advice.

I think that you should realize that you made a mistake doing all of this before getting a commitment and getting married. He is probably comfortable with things as they are, and you either have to lay in the bed you made, or move on. Shame you didn't think it through before...

well considering you have been together for 3 years and have a child together he better not be joking or kick his *** to the curb. If he gets your hopes up like to not actually mean it, to me thats a slap in the face.
