You got the right idea, but wrong mechanics.
The cold sensation is quite nice (for male or female) but you don't just shove 'em in there like it's a freezer door! Foreplay is play, so take your time. Gently rub the ice cube around sensitive areas, hold the cube in your mouth while giving head, etc.
Haha, it's not about packing cubes in there!
