Family Guy? NEVER...well at least until they're mature enough for it. I watched an 8 year old who's parents let him watch that, along with Rated R movies, play 'M' rated video games and he was the most violent kid I had ever met. His attitude was just as bad, but anyway he loved Family Guy. Quoted Stuie ALL THE TIME! It may be just me, but an 8 year old shouldn't go around saying things about naked women and drinking.

The Simpsons...well I can't give you an opinion on that one. I'm 21 and grew up on the Simpsons and never had any problems. Besides "Eat my shorts" is nothing compared to what's popular nowadays (my inner old lady is coming out.)

All kids are different though, so it just depends.

The Simpsons are more for kids than Family Guy.

I have a 7yr old and I don't let her watch either show. I just don't feel the content is appropriate. She knows that TV is pretend but I don't feel it is responsible to expose her to those themes, behaviors and vocabularies. I want my child to stay a child while she is young.

She accidentally saw part of the family guy when my boyfriend was watching it one day. She said to him.. Oh Doug that's not appropriate. You're gunna get in trouble. lol.

I don't have kids, but I would say when ever they stop imatating everything they see on TV. There's some stuff on those shows (especially Family Guy) that are NOT for little kids. ;)

I don't have kids, but I do have 7 nephews, all of which watch these programs, The 5 yr old does a great impression of Homer. Do'h!! They are good kids. Their parents teach them that TV is is not real and you can't immitate what you see on it.

As with anything you have to be responsible and judge whether you child is mature enough to understand. My oldest child has always watched these shows and she understands the difference between real and make believe. My youngest is not mature enough. They will see and hear bad things everywhere you have to be the buffer.

.No, I think Family Guy is one of the most disrespectful shows I have ever seen, I don't even like it for myself and as for my kids, Simpsons maybe once in a blue moon.

I don't have kids but if I did, i would not let them watch those shows until they were at least teenagers.

TV and video games are to violent these days. That's part of our whole problem with society.

Look at all the blodd. gore and killing in these ads for video games. Kids think that is ok after a while, they get used to it.

The most violent video game I had growing up was Pac Man.
