as chrisians say:
Jesus is GOD
please give me the anser to this !!
if Jesus was GOD how could he die ?
isn't GOD eternal { the ALPHA & the OMEGA }
when he DIED who was ruling the world ?
let's say someone in the face of the earth was praying at the exact moment that Jesus/GOD die : did he get the MSG: " the number you are calling isn't available att he moment please call again later "
let's say jesus died only for 1 sec
was he GOD when he died? we know that GOD don't die?
was he a human? human can die but can't be transfored into GODs except in Greek methology.
if jesus was God's only son !! why GOD need a SON for? he is Perfect & nothing like him .
if Jesus was a portion of GOD when he died? does that make god imperfect { he lost a portion of him for 1 sec }
if he didn't actually died & was impersonating death ? isn't that make it the greatest SCAM in history?
if GOD know that jesus will die on the cross why did he asked mary to flee to egypt?
think carefully & wisly

I'm realy proud of u, although I don't know u, for thinking. I have the answers I just hope u think of them as well.now, jesus is not God nor his son. he is one of Gods profits.and he didn't die on the cross. jesus didn't die. the people who wanted him to die thought it was him, but it wasn't . jesus was raised up to the sky by God, at the time they had someone who they thought was jesus, on the cross. now u r right about what does God need a son for. and actually God doesn't have a son God is greater then what people say. but to know how great he is u need to know who is God. God has never been seen ,never was born, never had a partner in his creation, and never will die. he is to great for that.he created everything in this world wether it's on earth or in space, and has full control of it all. but we will have a chance to see him and talk to him in the judgement day if we believe in him. if we don't it would be our punish ment not to see him including being in hell. so if God really died wether for us or not how would he be God when he is already dead? God can see, hear ,and now every single thing wether it's big or small shown or hidden God knows it, so a human being can never be God.

Jesus was a man, a charismatic speaker who read the Jewish religious texts and prayed to God to fix things. He then proceeded to explain that there were ways to avoid the old sacrifice and paying homage and instead reach God through faith alone. Like a David Kerush he have devoted followers who liked his message and after he was killed by the Romans for trying to get people to think, his followers tried to continue his teachings. Then over time, the message began to get fractured and distorted so the most powerful (rich) religious leaders had a council in Nicea around 300 AD. They decided to toss any books that showed Jesus human nature and kept anything that could be construed as deity and those books, with some added sections became the New Testament. Jesus cannot be god, it violates the tenants of the Almighty Yaweh of the Jewish religion, who is who Jesus bowed down to. Christianity isn't a religion, its a cult built on the back of another religion and shockingly took hold.

God was Jesus in the human form. He did not actually leave the thrown and die on the cross Jesus did. Either way he rose again on the third day so he would not have died. Mary had to fllee because Jesus had not taught anybody anything and made his existance known yet. The fact that your questioning any of this means you need to read your Bible again or for the first time. Start off with the gospels. Good Luck in trying to understand. I have not even read it and I know better.

God is triune, meaning three in one. Father, Son and Spirit.
When Jesus died he died as a human man, in whose form He came to save us all. Because sin requires the shedding of blood (and don't ask me why it does cos I don't properly understand it) Jesus died in our - YOUR - place to suffer the punishment otherwise reserved for sinners.
God (the Father) then raised Him from the dead and mankind was saved.
Sure it's a bit hard to get your head but God - being God - is above our level of understanding anyway so it's no surprise we have trouble!
Ask Jesus into your life and see if He doesn't prove Himself to you as a living God. He is there just waiting ... but don't wait too long dude, He's coming back soon.

The variety of answers proves that not everyone is learning the simple truth from the Bible. If they had stuck to the things written, everyone would answer the same way. The truth is that God did not die, but his son did. John 3:16 does not say that God came to earth. Far from it. It says: "God so loved the world so much that he sent his SON" to die for us. Why is that so hard to understand? God did not come to earth; his Son Jesus did.
The trinity doctrine is a confusing teaching that is not supported by the Bible. According to the trinity, God is eternal. If Jesus is part of the godhead, then God died and was dead for parts of 3 days. Of course, that's nonsense because God is immortal.

The truth is Jesus died on the cross and he rose "3 days" later. Your 1 sec theory is wrong. Being Almighty ,God, sent his Son Jesus to die for our sins. He is in fact the propitiation for our sins meaning he died so I don't have to, in place of me. Jesus is God.
God is made up of, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. They all are one. It is like body, mind and spirit. Think of it like water. Water can be either ice, or liquid water, or water vapor. But it is all still water just in a different form.

Yes, Jesus is God. He is deity. And, He did die...physically. But, you need to understand the biblical concept of existence.
In biblical theology, the physical body is temporary and is considered a house or tent in which the real you lives. When Jesus died on the cross, His physical body died. But, His real being (the spiritual self) did not. Cf. 2 Corinthians 5:1ff: "Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands."
Case in point: If my physical body changes...if I lose a limb...I'm still myself. If I lose a leg I'm still myself. The spiritual self is the real self. The mind is more than the brain. The conscious self is more than electrical synapses.

Evangelical Christians teach that Jesus, The Word of God, made flesh, did die physically and spiritually.
Eph 4 & 1 Cor. 5:19.
God made Jesus (it says) to be made sin on our behalf.
Jesus not only took upon Himself the sins of the world, He "became" the sin of the world.
The wages of sin is death. Jesus died physically and spiritually. He died physically on the cross, the bible teaches, and according to the evangelical christians Jesus also died spiritually when He "became" sin on the cross.
Maybe because of this teaching some religions, like islam do not believe Jesus ever died, at all.
Islam teaches Jesus never died but that Allah, God raised him, or rather ascended Him directly into heaven.
Evangelical christians teach that once Jesus became sin spiritually, he lost his deity(was no longer God) but that He then descended to the lower parts of the earth, went into hell, for three days and three nights, and was tortured and persecuted by satan, then after God decided the penalty for mankinds sins were paid in full by Jesus, God sent The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, into hell, and the Holy Spirit infused Jesus, making Him alive again spiritually, thus Jesus then became "the first born-again person" from the dead(thus the Church was born also). And at this point Jesus' Deity was restored, thus He was God, once again.
Then God raised him from the dead, Jesus appeared to many people. Then He ascended into heaven. Some I understand have a problem with these beliefs because if Jesus is God, as well as the Father and The Holy Spirit, and Jesus died spiritually, then would not God cease to exist, once He died spiritually ? But everyone is entitled to there own systems of beliefs.
These are the teachings of "The Faith Movement." (within the Christian Church), which started with E.W. Kenyon, and continued on with Kenneth Hagin Sr, Benny Hinn, and T.L.Osborn, Kenneth Copeland, Fredrick Price and many others within the faith movement of today.
Baptist evangelicals I understand are not into the teachings of the faith movement, they do not believe that Jesus died "Spiritually". If there are any other christian denominations that do not believe in this popular "Faith Movement" teachings You should make yourself known on Yahoo Answers. If you do believe these theories of the "Faith Movement" also make it clear on Yahoo Answers as well.
I do not judge them, or there teachings. Every religion and faith chooses to believe what it believes for various reasons.
No one should judge them, but listen and learn.
Be humble enough to simply learn.
I hope this helps.
Keep seeking and searching.
Knowledge is Great. but knowledge alone puffs up (pride), but walking in love, without judging others and there religion, edifies mankind !!!
And should not humanity love one another, and build one another up, not tear each other down?

Only one died...God was Jesus (in a man's body) at the exact moment of death Jesus becomes God again through intervention of the third person in the Trinity. So in fact no one died at all..And Mary is instructed to leave egypt because the Father knows that this Death, this Rising and This Reseurection will fuel the fire of believers and The new Christiianity will be unstoppable..So now the persecution, hnting, torture and murder (holocaust of christian is about to begin... Beginning of course with the closest to Jesus...Relatives, parents etc...etc. etc....

Jesus died and was resurrected. God is a three fold spirit; Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. He had an appointed time for Jesus to die, to save us all, and it wasn't when Mary was pregnant with Him. Believing in God is a choice, and to me the right choice. I have 'FAITH' that God is, and always will be. If you do not believe, that is your choice, but, I think you would get the answers you seek from church or a pastor. Good Luck!!!

Jesus died. He was a man. God cannot die ( Psalms 90: 2 Habakkuk 1:12) If Jesus is God both things cannot be true. If Jesus didn't really die the ransom has not been paid.
