Crisps, salt and vinegar, cheese and onion....
I go through spates of chomping through crisps and dip, especially houmous. I've tried making it and it's nice but not the same as shop brought!
I do avoid them, but even now i can hear them calling....

My diet killer is fried chicken. I make a delicious oven-fried chicken, and I am content with it for a few months, but it just isn't the same as homestyle pan-fried. And, to be honest, it just isn't the chicken, itself, but the entire meal--the mashed potatoes, cream gravy (made with the chicken fat), the buttered corn, and the homemade bread. (Can you tell that I AM dieting this very second?!!). I try to be flexible, telling myself that my diet versions of down-home cooking are just as good, if not better than the real thing. I even allow myself a little "chicken-cheating" here and there, which helps me get on with the diet the day after. However, it never fails: I get ill, something horrible happens to friends or family or to me, or I have to have to go out of town, unexpectedly. These three things seem to be the key to killing my diet. When I am ill and cannot exercise, I feel bad about me and seek comfort food (fried chicken....). When I am upset, WHERE is that comfort food???!!! And when I travel, well, isn't it easier to do fast food and chicken buffets and promise to go back to "healthy me" after the trip?? .
Just a tip, though: do not give up your favorite things altogether. That is merely self-depriving and self-punishing. Your diet needs to be about changing habits; it is not meant to be a test of strength against temptation. Allowing yourself an evening of a limited portion of THE food will definately help you from breaking down and gorging it during a weak moment. Improving your diet isn't about giving up things you love--it is about YOU being in charge of YOURSELF and YOU telling yourself, "THIS IS THE BEST CHOICE FOR A HEALTHY ME." If that pesky fat-food is what seems best, then so be it. It is quite possible your body doesn't need the fat, but your mind needs the comfort. When you stop feeling guilty about your choices, then you know you are succeeding. You will be able to continue your diet the very next meal because you MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR YOU.

white bread is my poison. I can't stay away from sandwiches. even when I go to Subway I still order the light bread instead of wheat, I really wish that someone would tell me how to stop eating white bread. I don't have a problem staying away from other carbs, even though I really try hard to stay away from it , but every thing I seem to eat requires bread.

Two things do me in deserts and food.
Specifically chocolate and ice cream. I no longer buy ice cream, but have a ton of candy left over from Halloween. It is a reward at this point for sticking to my diet.
