Please only answer if you have had a csection. Why do some people answer when they have not experienced this themselves. Of course i would wait until i stopped bleeding. If my doc would have told me about resuming sexual activity i wouldn't be asking any of you. Please don't make it seem like i shouldn;t or wouldn't want to have sex. I am only human. Thank you very much

I had my second C-Section on October 16, and I had sex jus 16 days after.. It seemed fine. For my first C-section also I had sex on the 20th day. If u r comfortable with it, it is ok.. but then be careful not to over do. but generally doctors advice is to wait for 4 to 6 weeks. Hope u got ur answer.

6 weeks is the minimum for the two variety of transport. even in case your bleeding has stopped and you sense as much because it, there is all kinds of inner therapeutic occurring which you will no longer see, and you're at an extremely intense possibility for an infection for those 6 weeks. The placental attachment website is form of a extensive open sore for many weeks, and the internal incision is therapeutic, etc. in case you had ever considered a girl with a postpartum an infection, have faith me, you does no longer have ever pondered having intercourse in the previous your record recommends. many females have landed returned interior the wellbeing facility, some septic and interior the ICU, separated from their infant. There are different a thank you to be intimate for 6 short weeks. You stick to your record's techniques for 9 long months to have a wellbeing infant, do your guy or woman physique the comparable courtesy.

I have had two c-sections (last one in August) and I waited 4 weeks...it's really tender in the area around the incision for a long time after a c-section. It is after all a major surgery so do be careful and if it is at all painful stop and wait another week or so.
And FYI: my OB office does 4 week post-op checks instead of the usual 6 weeks...and it was at my 4 week check up that he gave me the go ahead to ressume "ALL activities" :)

We resumed after 3 1/2 weeks with no problems. I was given the go ahead by my doctor around that time. I had a c-section on October 3rd, b/c my baby was too big to fit through my birth canal. The only thing I would recommend is to take it slow and have "your partner" do all to work. Congrats on your new baby!!!!

I had a c-section with my first child. when u have a child normally they tell u wait six weeks before resuming sexual activity. When u have a surgery it takes more time to heal. The scar itself takes a year to heal totally. I started having sex when it was bearable and comfortable to do so. And it was long after six weeks!! Your other half has got to be understanding.

doctors say 6 weeks but it is now 6 weeks for me and we tried the other night and boy did it hurt. Just keep trying every week or few days after 6 weeks until it stops hurting. I remember with my first we waited way too long because after a few seconds it stopped hurting and I didn't know I just had to get past the first few seconds, but that was of course 6 months after the birth.

It should be about 6 weeks. With a C-section it's a little longer because of the incision. I would start at 6 weeks and if it doesn't feel right or it hurts, wait and try again later.

I had 2 c-sections. And I waited for my doctor to tell me it was ok. So you might want to wait til then. Talk to your doctor. I had to wait 6 weeks before I could have sex.

You just had major surgery, do you realize that? Your body needs time to heal and for your internal organs to reposition themselves. Doctors advise 8 weeks, so take advantage of that time. And concentrate on taking care of your baby!
